Leopard CPU High Usage

I have this problem as well - there any way to solve it but still be able to use spotlight on these pdfs? It's a useful thing to be able to do...
 
OMD, this helped me out after downloading some ebooks!

Just made spotlight ignore this folder..

Perhaps the font app will work. Ill have to give it a try:apple:
