Yep fixed here too with 10.5.2, finally!

10.5.2 did NOT fix my problem, the screen still dims after only a minute no matter how long I have energy savings set to. Aggravating and unacceptable. Anyone else?

2 month old MB going dark

The same problem just started happening on my MB. I've got 10.5.2. Any other suggestions?

While waiting for a fix that I don't think will ever come.. I have found the suggested app "caffeine" works well and has saved me from throwing my mac out the window. Problem is, it also seems to put a little additional strain on battery life, and after only 20 cycles it's already holding 3.5 hours instead of the 5.20 when new... grr..

This is happening to me with my MBP (early 08) only when I boot off of the Leopard Retail DVD (to reinstall my system). I've done it a billion times before and now the backlight won't go on.

-Reset PRam and SMU= no effect.

Any ideas?
