Where did you hear this? I would expect bugs from a beta but at least for the past betas, what you said above may be true.

We have enough Safari 3 beta threads. Imagine if Apple released a Leopard Beta. MR would shut down due to threads and traffic.

I had read the blog MR mentions as now having been removed. The negative points were a list of bugs he'd found, plus some apps that just down right would no longer work.
