Correct, 480p in YouView on my MDD is quite smooth. 720p starts to have problems, but I would expect that from such old hardware.
what are the specs of your MDD?

Baseline model, Dual 867 MHz with GeForce 4 MX GPU. RAM and HDD have been upgraded, but everything else is original.
Than i dont get why my Single 1GHZ FW800 can't do YouView or HTML 5 it has 1GB RAM
You have quality set to 480p in YouView preferences, right?
By the way, I'm on version 0.5.1.

I dont watch youtube on the browser. I have the YouView Safari exgtension. ClickToFlash never worked as it was claimed to for me. I have HTML5 as default but i never watch videos that way because i cannot play them full screen
This is what works for me:
Leopard Safari Webkit r166320
ClickToPlugin 3.0
Quicktime Pro 7.6
With this setup on my G5, Youtube has options of allowing flash, playing with Quicktime or downloading the MP4 video as 360 or 720p (where available).
Does your machine play MP4 videos ok in VLC? As others have said, it may just be the limits of the hardware?
Can you post your ClickToPlugin settings?
Has nothing to do with 0.5.1. It has ALWAYS laged on the MDD (probably the 4MX card) even when i had version 0.4 on it
It does. It's a known 0.5.1 issue. I'd recommend downgrading to 0.5 for the best performance. 0.5.1 is riddled with bugs that you could do without.
