Less than 1 week after Apple releases the new Macbook Pros, nVidia releases these...

I assume the next gen Macbook Pros will be pretty awesome. Hopefully, they'll also have a SATA 3.0 Gbps interface. :p

Probably going to see a G1xxM series instead in the next revision. Expect the usual 32 shader cores and 128-bit memory interface.

Pray they decide on a Mobility HD 4650 or 4670 instead.

Why? Are these better?

i heard the new chip is basically the same as our 9X00 series. just with 40nm.

And the gen after the next will have a better gpu. If all you do is wait for something better then youll never get anything.

Thing is, you buy stuff after a architectur change, eg Arrandale for Notebooks, dunno about Nvidia stuff. Not in between.

I seriously think Apple asked NVIDIA to hold off announcement of the new GPUs after WWDC so Apple can still sell a ton of the new MBPs.

What do you think?

There will always be something new.

Why? Those are NOT low end GPUs.

These new offerings will kill the 9400M .. no offense. But it works both ways, just how the 9400M was 5x faster than the previous integrated GPU.

I understand technology has to move forward, but these mobile solutions are like brining a knife to a gun fight. There still inadequate for anything remotely challenging.
