Does it have to be an Apple system? (big hint)

its an outbound laptop, unsure of specific model
Definitely an Outbound. I remember seeing ads for these in MacWeek. As I recall they were built around either the Mac SE or SE/30 logic board... and were really expensive!

Nahhh, I'm not a classic master. ;)

Good info here: http://lowendmac.com/clones/outbound.html

I got mine off auction (for a lot of money.) It came with the original carrying case and it actually boots! A bunch of Outbounds I've read about on the web haven't been working properly, so I guess I'm lucky. :)

The Oubound slogan was:
"Macintosh set your mind free. Now, set your Macintosh free.
Lightweight. Powerful. Affordable. Don't settle for deskbound when you can be...
Outbound."

Here's another one, can you guess what it is?

Dynabook?

Here's a stock photo of one of my rare clones.

Hint : It is a clone that used a standard Mac IIfx logicboard overclocked to 50mhz. (The fastest Apple in 1991!)

Not an Apple approved clone!! This company purchased Mac IIfx's for the logicboards!

It's a Dash 30 by a company called 68000.

By a company called 68000, this monster cost nearly as much. A maxed out Dash cost an amazing $40,000 according to this article. You have to remember that they started with a $9,000 IIfx!!

Only 2K or so were sold to publication layout & design shops.
