for the hint "stock" does it mean it came standard with the floppy and the Hard drive?

The model is actually the Macintosh SE FDHD (Floppy Disk Hard Disk)

Hrm. That's a toughy. It's one of the PowerBook 1x0 series. I'm guessing the 140. (My stab at the hint is that it refers to the fact that there were '2 more' models in the 14x series after this, the 145 and 145b.)

Of course, that same logic could hold true in making it a 160 (vs. 165 and 165c.)

PowerBook 2400c with custom clear keyboard (and very likely a custom top behind the LCD screen.) These buggers are very popular with 'case modders' in Japan. Partly because they were the smallest 'full-featured' PowerBook released until the 12" PowerBook, partly because they can have G3 upgrade, and can run OS X with the help of XPostFacto.

840quadra, thankyou I really enjoyed that, good game I suspect that quite a few here would be interested in continuing the thread. Might I suggest a few changes to open "the game" up a bit? How about abandoning "the rules" as there has been plenty of confusion about them anyway.

Anyone can post a photo of a Mac in there collection, or one pulled from the net with a clue if needed, open guessing. No winners, no losers (or second places ) just for fun. Only rule, one posted photo per member until guessed correctly or postings could get out of hand. This will probably also speed things up a bit.
