I also have this one too which is blue at the bottom and pink at the top - it's also going back. How unlucky can you be!

I had a Week 9 AT&T from Foxconn and now a Week 5 Verizon from Foxconn. I did notice that I didn't have to increase the brightness level as much as I did from the AT&T one. Overall, I prefer the Week 5 Verizon display.

Just checked my other one that has a light leak at the top and it is week 8 dl china Foxconn

Perfect!

Week 8 here, No problem that I can tell. I did the pixel test and everything looks fine to me, but this is my first ipad. Should I be checking anything else?

Great Screen

No problems in my eyes,

Open a pure white image or web page on your device in portrait mode. Quickly move your eyes back and forth between the left and right sides of the display and see if you notice any different in the display color. My left edge is a bit darker almost like a light pink and only noticeable against white and my right side is pure white.

Looks great, no dead pixels, no light bleeding, slightly warmer than iPod Touch 4, but nothing terrible - very satisfied.

its really hard to tell the bleeding....What is your brightness level?

No dead pixels, no light bleeding, slightly warmer than my iPad 2, but I actually prefer it that way.

Pulled this site from the other thread but let's see if we can drill down to a specific batch of iPads by either week or factory that have a screen issue.

http://www.chipmunk.nl/klantenservice/applemodel.html/

The left edge of my screen (in portrait mode) is yellow compared to the right side of the screen. My info from the site above is as follows:

Factory: DQ (China - Foxconn refurbished??)

My factory is also DQ china and is noticeably yellow down the left hand side particularly in the bottom left hand corner when in portrait. - very noticeable in split keyboard and websites with white backgrounds. Will this fade?

I have a noticable yellow tint

So are DL, DM, DN, DQ, etc just different factory locations owned by Foxconn in China, or different areas of the same factory or something different?

So far, I'm the only one with DN. Should I exchange mine? (I'm kidding.)

Mine is perfect. Even some of you OCD nutcases would find nothing wrong.

I noticed on white websites like Mac rumors the middle of the screen is white but the top and bottom are a bit more grey (portrait mode). For example, while scrolling in a thread the middle of the screen produce the best picture, if I'm looking at a post and then scroll that post up to read the next one it starts to dim a bit the further it goes up. Is like what you have?

Similar to my original issue but it was very marginal in my case.

Well I went through some craziness last night. I went to the Soho Apple store and got my iPad replaced. I get home and the yellow screen on the left hand side was significantly WORSE than it was on the original one. Not only that but it had a MAJOR light leak on the top of the screen (seen in images below). No question at this point that Apple's QC has really taken a dive.

At this point I was really pissed off and immediately went to the Apple store on the Upper West Side and got it replaced again (and made sure to open and inspect it in front of the rep, who was very friendly, this time). My new one is MUUUUUUUUUUCH better. No yellowing on the left side though the very edge of the right side is a drop dimmer than the rest of the screen. Nothing too bad and I'm sure over time I'll stop noticing it. Anyway, the info on my new iPad is as follows:

I would say this one is pretty good. No leaks, no pixel problems, the ONLY thing I would say is there is a BIT of WHITE/GREY color uniformity between TOP and BOTTOM of the screen. (or left/right depending on landscape orientation)

The white or brightness seems just a bit whiter/brighter on the home button end. When I rotate around, then the brightness is on the same end, so it isn't say a page view or full white image problem. When in landscape mode, the HOME button side of the keyboard, whichever side it is is a bit more GREY and the other side is a bit more clear silver/grey. Again, hard to notice. Everything else seems pretty fine.
