I have no screen issues, and no heat issues. My battery has been going down pretty quickly but I haven't rebooted/charged it since I opened the box yesterday. I'll update later today after reboot how the battery does.

OK....

So there are 150+ posts....

How does this thread answer the OP's "Let's see if we can find the source of the screen issues"?

Please definitely report on the screen. I'd like to see if Apple has taken any actions regarding this issue.

Screen is 90% good. No light bleed, dead pixels or yellow tint but there is a reddish/pinkish region (left side) and a green spot (bottom right). Shame. *sigh*

No dead pixels, no tint of any kind and no backlight bleed at all. It's perfect. :D
If you turn it up to 100%, you'll see a tiny bit creep in, but at normal levels, around 50-65 it's flawless.

Week 5 from Italy: yellow tint on top 1/3 in portrait, not complety uniform display

Going for replace this evening

This thread should just stop. Clearly there is no correlation to week builds and quality. If anything, I see even more randomness.

It's not going to correlate.

Unless we could pry open the iPads and find the batch #'s of the screens themselves, it's all random.

Different screen batches could be divvied up and sent to different factories, in which they might get divvied up and used on different days/weeks/months.

Even IF one factory received all of the same display batch, and used them all in the same lot of iPads.... there could still be good screens, and bad screens in the same display batch.

No issues with my screen so far.

So Finally is there a conclusion on which weeks of production in specific had the yellow tint problem with the New iPad, well I am planning to buy one and I am just hoping that I select the week of production from the serail number which on a large scaale has no yellow tints or hue's so do we have any numbers on which week's are the safest bet to buy. I have done small numbers and I feel the following weeks of production has mostly the yellow tint problems with the New iPad

Apparently the following weeks have a Yellow Tint Problem :

week-1
week-3
week-5
week-6
week-7
week-9
week-10

What do you guys think ?

I think there's a trend. Week 2, 4, 8 do not have a tint. I'm predicting week 16 won't as well. :D

I think your conclusion is wrong and no idea how you reached it. I'm week 7 and my screen is flawless.

Is week 10 a good week?

Week 10 here and it's as perfect as I can expect. No bleed. No pixels committing suicide. Nice uniform (for an LCD) screen.

I exchanged it because of the yellow screen and the incase select jacket gave off a lot of dust that made the black bezel look like a dust magnet. My new one is a white week #13. This is my last and final one. Its perfect. The Apple sales guy had me try it out before i accepted it.
