One thing I'm excited about is that the belkin has a wire holder along the back so when you unplug your wire it doesn't just fall to the floor

The connector on genuine Lightning cables usually contain ferrous metal and will stick to a magnet. So I just installed a small neodymium magnet near my Brodit mount, which keeps the cable nice and tidy when it isn't connected to the phone. You can buy these super strong magnets on eBay or Amazon with self-adhesive backing on them or buy ones with holes pre-drilled for easy installation.

I use this dock from FuseChicken. I used automotive velcro to attach it to my car rather than the magnet which I didn't like. It's awesome.

Liked my Kenu Airframe+ until I put my iPhone 6+ in the Otterbox. Now it doesn't fit. Any suggestions on a car mount that fits the 6+ in an Otterbox?

Which Otterbox and what width? Brodit has an Adjustable holder suitable for 75-89 mm width

Otherwise look for a 'spring clip' style mount as some fit devices up to 4 inches. Most of these are suction cup mounts - I'm sure most Brodit/ProClip users (myself included) usually steer well clear of suction mounts as they're crap and fall off at every opportunity, but these new ones are now using the super-sticky black pads which stay fixed much better than the old style clear suction cups. Here's an example of what to search for: http://osomount.com/shop/dash-grip-ex/

Although I normally use a Brodit mount in my car, I've bought one of these spring clip suction mounts for use in hire/courtesy cars. I also use it on the windscreen if I want to do some filming of the view of the road.

I've been using the Kenu Airframe+ and have been happy with it. It's an easy solution for a car mount though I realize it's not for everyone.

This is what I use as well. Amazon sells a larger one that easily accommodates an iPhone 6 Plus in a case.

Let's see your auto mounts!

I used Kenu's Airframe for a year and I liked it but I was always afraid, in winter, heat from the vent might fry the phone and the battery. Even with the case, the phone gets really hot. Shut off a few times indeed. I'm using + drive from Logitech now. It's ridiculously expensive for what it is but the universal adapter (a fancy way to say about a piece of metal) is thin enough to fit in pretty much any case (might look funny in clear cases though) and the magnet is strong enough (it isn't supposed to affect anything in phone). No one has tried with iPhone 6 Plus yet but it holds 6 well even when driving over speed bumps. I like its looks than better than mounts with springs

I decided to give the Kenu Airframe+ a try for my Thanksgiving trip. Turns out it's carried by Target now and for the same price as Amazon. I decided to go in and get one. So far it works really well and I like it a lot. It fits my iPhone 6+ with a Speck Candyshell Grip.

I've only had the Airframe for about 1.5 months so it's still early to say how the grips will hold up in the long run. If you live in an area where you need to be blasting heat through the vents it I certainly think that may affect the grip eventually. IIRC there was something in the instructions about not using heat thru the vent the AirFrame is attached to.

Another factor is road conditions and if one drives on unpaved roads or one with many potholes there may be some slipage. I driven over some rough roads and haven't had any issues but I still keep my eye on it.

Other reasons I liked the AirFrame is its portability; I can easily remove it put it in a jacket and use it as a stand while I browse my phone at lunch or whenever. It also is fairly inconspicuous if left on an air vent and won't draw unwanted attention. The rotating feature is nice and that doesn't feel to me like that would wear out anytime soon. Sometimes I like to view maps in landscape mode.

If you run heat through your vents you will overheat your phone. I did just that. :)

had this one for probably 6-7 years, still does the trick for my 5S when using it for Navigation etc.

am using two original Kenu Airframe mounts to old my Plus. The airframe doesn't hold the phone but it creates a nice little shelf for the phone to rest on. It's pretty secure. No shifting at all, I can press the phone without it moving, and even going over speeds bumps and aggressive turning doesn't affect the phone. It's perfect.

Could it fit with a larger case?

Here's mine. Grabbed a cigarette lighter mount from amazon and 4" cable.

Put this in the case thread, but seems more relevant here....Roll Tide!

I have been using the Rokform universal mount on the back of my Lumia 1520 for the past year and absolutely loved it. Locks into my car during my commute, works on my bike mount and the added magnetic mount is used in my wife's car as well as anywhere I am at in th garage. I was even able to place the phone under my Jeep while I was working on it to listen to music as well as watch YouTube videos showing me how to actulally fix what I was trying to fix.:D

I simply placed their mount directly to the ProClip USA mount I already had for my vehicles (have been using one for 10 years!!). Simply removed their dedicated phone mount and stuck the Rokform RMS to the face of the ProClip USA car mount.

Here it is in my car...no iPhone 6+ yet, but the case for that showed up yesterday.

Any mount with suction cup that could attach to my car's navi screen for my iP6. Any less than 3" suction cup and no or low profile stem would fit perfect. Is this possible??
anybody try this? I don't want top of dash, windshield, or vent mounting. I might go for a cig lighter type too..
