Not sure whether it's good or bad. 6 hrs usage with more than average web browsing, downloading apps, playing temple run 2, social networking and more. Currently on 59%. Expected battery to last for another 6 hours plus.

Any battery saving tips? It seems i've already turned off alot of stuff...

what have you turned off?

Strange
I turned off GPS but it seems it was still running in the background as I'd left maps open.
This doesn't seem right to me, is their a 'fix' per se

6 hours screen on time or just on the battery? If you have 6 hours screen on time and still have 59% left...that is phenomenal.

I don't understand how so many phone manufacturers manage to screw this up. I've also seen this from Samsung.

It's absolutely ridiculous and is literally the only flaw that I can find with this phone (camera was one of them, but after rooting it and flashing a camera mod from a dev, it's wonderful). I was trying to navigate around with my friend the other day and while the phone said it had locked onto my location, it couldn't get a lock closer than within 40 feet nor could it keep up with us on the highway. It would constantly be about 10-30 seconds behind where we were so there was no chance of being able to take a turn or exit at the right time.

This is a very serious issue and is the worst I've seen. I'm actually surprised more users and haven't mentioned it. I've only seen one reviewer and a few other people complain about it. I use GPS/navigation all the time, especially on vacations, and without a working GPS/navigation system, my day is effectively ruined.

Mine does this as well, but I can't tell if it's the E911 symbol or if its the actual GPS, but I'm thinking it's the former because usually when GPS is on, a little notification will popup saying something along the lines of "Finding your location..." (to which it never does because of the faulty GPS chip).

Well the issue for me is that it's showing that MAPS has taken 44% of my battery (I'm at 50% after 9 hours) (Screen is at 23%) with a total CPU time of 19 seconds, but a GPS time of almost 7 hours. GPS isn't on right now but the ticker keeps going up.
Doubt it's E911 as I'm in the UK.

Turned off bluetooth, wi-fi, slide aside, brightness is at 50% on auto. See the battery again today.

Can't seem to be connected to 4G. Only seen 3G and H on data so far, 4G only once for a fleeting moment.

what's the difference between having the screen auto on or off?

Auto on adjusts the brightness automatically.
Off keeps it locked.

Yep, although the auto brightness function is quite funny at times.

Btw, got 4G on my G2 to finally work. Blazing speeds woots~ :)

How do you guys customize your G2? My UI remains largely untouched, maybe because i like the original stock LG UI. Anyone who use their LG without using mods?

Stock is great, but I have rooted my G2 using stock rom with some debloating.
If you consider rooting, I suggest Xposed Framework with it's great modules for adding funtions and customizing.

Bit the bullet and Rooted+installed TWRP.
Really simple to do actually, I was expecting something harder.

All installed, looks pretty sick.
Any modules you'd recommend, I've put G2 Xposed on already?

Have a look at this thread on XDA, some great mods are listed there

This are also worth a look, especially G2 Tweaksbox

Does anyone have LTE internet browsing battery stats for this phone similar to Anandtech? They only have 3G results up on their website.

Dumb question:
When 4.4 drops do I simply flash it through TWRP?? (Obvs cannot OTA with recovery)
Never had this 'problem' because I've always waited to root and all that shizz.

Welcome :)

Another advantage of flashing through TWRP is, that you don't have to wait for LG to release the update for your region/country/carrier.

Went again today to check out the LG G2 because I may change my SGS3 for this or the Nexus 5, and saw again lots of lag across the whole UI. WTF? Really?

I even updated the store phone to the latest version thinking it would be smoother but nothing.

Is really this LG G2 the only one with lag or do all of them have it? I can honestly say my SGS3 has less lag. Seriously.

I want to buy the LG G2 over the Nexus because of better battery life, camera and I can get it cheaper.

What do you guys recommend? LG G2 or Nexus 5? Which would be the better upgrade from a SGS3?

When the G2 gets 4.4, you can out it in ART runtime and it will be faster. Just dont know when it will get 4.4 but ive seen rumblings.

If it's a store phone remember it's effectively on 24/7, probably being abused by potential customers.
I wouldn't make a decision solely on what you see in store ;)

On the upgrade do you want consistent updates or the bigger screen and better battery? There's some 4.4 Roms flying around already too so if you're into rooting and all that there's a good selection.

Personally I was torn between both phones and went for the G2 and I'm glad I did, there's loads of good features, (knock-on/off for instance) and even things like the stupidly named plug and pop are really quite useful.
