Good for visuals? Not exactly sure what that means. Yes, there’s definitely differences between OLED an LCD, but I don’t think consumers generally care about the visuals, nor do they understand either. If you look at Apples marketing traditionally, they don’t tout about OLED panels for an extended amount of time, they focus on other specific hardware features, like the Apple Pencil support, Pro-motion, ect.Good for visuals. Bad for eyes.
I was ready to pull the trigger on a C1 last year but ended up waiting. The Samsung QDOLED seem more promising now. Since they are making TV and monitors with it they seem confident in the long term reliability of it.
It'll be ten years after Samsung put OLED into their tabs, which btw look fantastic. The screens. Not the plastic Galaxy Tabs themselves...Seems like it's really lagging behind the timeframe that the iPhone got for the OLED display. Wonder why it's taking Apple so long to tackle something like this...for goodness sake, you can get it up to 75" as a display now...should be able to easily make OLED displays for the iPad. No?
You obviously have never seen an OLED screen.Another price hike for an improvement I probably won't be able to appreciate in real life, but one which the internet reviewers will rave about because if you put the old and new devices right next to the other and show just the right image there's a tiny difference? Sign me up baby.
No such thing. OLED doesn't need a backlight so there is no need for miniLEDs.When will there be miniOLED?
There wont be, as its not required. purpose of miniLED is to provide localised dimming. They can use OLED with extra cost but no extra benefits. Infact, if they use OLED, then theres no point covering it with and inferior tech like LCDWhen will there be miniOLED?
Depends on what content you watch i suppose, but for things like a fureplace in an otherwise dark scene( unkess ivercompresion negates it that is, may depend on media source) you will deffenetly notice only oled can produce true blacks. So contrast ratios will in theory be improved. On another note when most of the screen is dark the screen wil probably conume less power then lcd screens so you might see slightly increced batery life assuming all other components have thes sam power usageExcellent. Hope to skip over the trash Mini LED phase Apple has going. Gimme an OLED iPad. wouldn’t mind an oled Mac either.

Sure, why not if you’re a masochist, but current miniLED iPad Pro and MacBook Pros are amazing (from actual experience). Good for your eyes, great for HDR when you need it.Excellent. Hope to skip over the trash Mini LED phase Apple has going. Gimme an OLED iPad. wouldn’t mind an oled Mac either.
My understanding is mini LED is the superior product. Why switch to OLED?
I bought an LG 55 inch OLED. I don't recall the model number, but it was over $2K back on 2017, so I think it was a premium model. Serious burn in and the TV is ruined. The only other OLED device I have is an iPhone and no issues with that. Will never buy another OLED TV again--never.My understanding is that mini LED isn’t superior, and every time I’ve seen one I end up thinking the same. OLED has the best contrast ratio without local dimming required so no shadows/glows/halos. It also has amazing colour accuracy and excellent response times. People will now declare OLED inferior due to the perceived ‘burn in’ risk where images are stuck on the screen, but that’s usually reserved for cheaper less well designed panels. Apple phones have not suffered this generally. I’ve used an OLED laptop for years and not seen any evidence of burn in either
