LG Ultrafine 5k - discontinued? (not restocked by Apple UK)

I just got another copy. Screen uniformity is slightly better - definitley not perfect, but then... GUESS WHAT?

VERTICLE LINES ON THE RIGHT HAND SIDE!!!!!

I give up. MAYBE I'M ASKIGN FOR TOO MUCH? I JUST CAN'T HANDLE THE IDEA OF PAYING $1300+TAX FOR A MONITOR WITH THESE DEFECTS.

I WILL HAVE TO DO WITHOUT NOW. Any suggestions for an alternative?

Same, I just got vertical lines on my fourth replacement. Lol, I can't get out of the LG Ultrafine 5k cycle because I paid in Apple gift cards. I recommend sending it back, because in about a few weeks, a new LG Ultrafine 5k will be released with slimmed bezels. Source: LG is updating all of their monitors to that design, look at the LG Ultrafine 5k Ergo for an idea of what it may look like.

Quality control is nonexistent.

Yes I'm just going to wait. I am confident they will release a new one since this is the flagship monitor LG sells in terms of PPI, and another LG Ultrafine called "Ergo" on the LG site has been updated 2 weeks ago with bezels less than 2 CM. I presume it will take another month at maximum for these Apple-endorsed LG Ultrafine's to upate. It is a gorgeous display, and I can never go back from 218 PPI on 27 inches.

I returned the other 3 displays, because each of them had yellow tint on different areas (instead of the traditional, normal lcd white lighting). I believe with this new, thinner bezel, there will be less possibility that the panel will be pinched, thus eliminating a lot of yellow backlight bleed problems. Probably a lot of returns happen because of that. I will accept the next one in any case as long as the yellow tint is not too bad and doesn't have any vertical lines.

I'm thinking about a Dell U3219Q or U2720Q if my replacement coming today isn't good enough (plus a webcam). If I go 32 inches then I'll push the monitor further away so the pixels are not discernible.

Got the funny vertical misalignment yesterday, fixed by a disconnect and reconnect.
