No bezel at all ? Absolutely crazy !
You can put two side by side and it would look pretty seamless.

Strange to announce the launch, but miss out half the details about features (refresh rate, viewing angles, other input/output ports etc). Obviously won't give as good an image as the XDR if it doesn't have miniLED backlighting, but a 120 Hz/VRR panel and lower cost would be more than enough for a lot of people.

It looks awesome, but if it doesn't have webcam, speakers and microphones, means you will be running a bunch wires around making the desk look as average as with any other display. I hope it was 38 inches atleast
I though the Apple Pro XDR 6K display also didn't have webcam/speakers/microphone - that is just on the 5K Studio display.

218 PPI makes this display pretty much useless for Mac users because of atrociously incompetent scaling in macOS.

I still hope that some company will finally come out with a 5K 32” OLED.
Eh? 218 ppi places this right in the middle of Apple's Retina space. MacOS display scaling will have a perfect HiDPI mode for this pixel density. 5K at 32" would fall below Apple's retina density and likely end-up looking like a 27" 4K display (i.e. slightly blurry text)

Agreed to an extend. If you don't bake those things into a monitor, you can recreate the experience for a lot less money, and it is very easy to hide cables and plug everything directly into your monitor.

Eg, I use a MagSafe web cam mount so my phone can be my webcam while also charging it. The cable plugs into the monitor and is concealed by the VESA mount that came with cord concealers.

Beautiful monitor, but I reckon the launch will be similar to other interesting non-Apple monitors.

Introduced at CES, no price, no availability date. Then there will be a min 6 month wait before it goes on sale and the price tag will be a little lower than Apple monitors, but again not so much that it sells better than Apple monitors. After two years it will slowly stop selling due to lack of interest.

If LG put it under $2000 and a similar 5K under $1000 and didn't wait to launch, they'd have an instant hit. What's missing here are quality monitors for Mac Mini users. The Apple Studio display is beautiful, but here in the EU it costs basically 3/4 the price of my 5K iMac 2020 (when it was new).

Can any other company come up with cool designs except steal them from Apple. I’m surprised they didn’t do the cheese grater holes in the back. Who knows? Maybe they did. Lol
Perhaps if you're lucky, Apple might get into the "stealing" mood someday as well. Perhaps then they might steal integrated KVMs, greater than 60Hz refresh rates, multiple video inputs, or even removable power cables from some of the other copycat brands. I wouldn't hold my breath, though.

As for this obviously copied design - it is pretty clearly made for Mac users. You can hardly blame LG for making a monitor that mimics Apple's design when Apple's customers have proven time and again that it really doesn't matter if a design is actually good, if it doesn't involve aluminum and it doesn't mimic whatever Apple has done in the past, it isn't going to sell.

Historical low prices of 32" 6K

- $1,850: Dell at BHPhoto
- $4,500: Apple at BHPhoto

For a $1,799 iMac 32" 6K M4 16GB RAM 256GB SSD base model to happen the display parts needs to cost ~$1k.

With Thunderbolt 5 I expect this display to be $3-5k. It will likely be co-launched with 2025 Mac Studio & Mac Pro by WWDC in June.

Always someone complaining lol. Let me buy a professional display so I can listen to YouTube videos and use it as a selfie stick. Were you aware a webcam has a microphone built in?

I wonder where they got their inspiration?

They even used the same advertising.

Edit: My bad, they put it a bit closer and inverted it. Nothing like it 😂

I replaced my monitor recently, and the bezel is so thin there is no good way to attach a webcam. So what do you do on this bezel-less monitor?

If this delivers to the promise, I might even resell the Studio Display I just bought

How much is it?
probably in the range of $ 3 k including tax - including Thunderbolt 5 without any competition - in case I opted for an iMac I'd certainly buy it at any price
Unashamedly STOLE Apples Pro Stand. If you can’t beat them, copy them.
Well - industrial design is probably the best word for it - looks amazing on the small images - had the 5k display from LG for testing at home and it was really bad quality control and it did not work properly on my Mac PRO - thus not an option - I hope they got it right this time!
You're fully right - Design is mostly stolen. But compare it to that ugly Samsung Monitor MR has been pushing so hard on us ...
The design looks awesome and I would buy this beast in a heartbeat in case it worked with the Mac mini fine - but then there is the hope for an 8 k iMac Pro to replace my current iMac PRO and the M5 end of this year will be probably the time to consider which route to go.
Good for all that are in need of a display currently.
