Alot of things have chrome molding. Did Apple copy it from Lincoln?

No, Apple innovated Chrome molding. I read it once somewhere on Macrumors. ;)

It was sarcasm. Very little on the iPhone is actually an original idea.

sort of true, LG even stated Apple copied them with the iPhone's design.
I think the Prada Model was out before the iPhone
I still find true the Storm and some Nokia designs going away from Nokia's typical concepts and starting to steal some design choices from Apple.

ah, but take a look at patent dates, and read some interviews with Apple execs about how long the iPhone was in development

Apple's concept was thought of first
that's why they can use their patented multitouch, and no one else can

true
but you can't deny that the iPhone pulls it off better than most other mobile phones (before the iPhone, I had a samsung SGHD807 with chrome molding, but it didn't look even as close to as sleek as the iPhone does)

They didn't start on the hardware until late 2005, or start porting OSX until early 2006. Heck, they didn't start applying for iPhone related patents until 2007, AFAIK.

They might have a patent on their particular screen. They don't have a patent on multi-touch. It predates them by twenty-five years.

Viewty is a awesome phone. Only thing missing is wifi and better browser. I wouldn't trade my iPhone but certainly temped.
