Apple buys from the vendor that can provide the specified component at the price requested in the volumes needed. It is a business transaction. It is not emotionally driven. Samsung’s components divisions produce quality technology and are a good supplier.I always wondered why doesn't Apple buy from LG instead of Samsung since they have so many legal issues with Samsung and they are a direct competitor to them in the smartphone market. Maybe buy 50/50 to keep your options open.
It had better be QD-OLED right Apple.Count me in!
I picked up a LG C1 during Black Friday and now I want everything OLED. Love the colors, inky blacks, HDR and the fast response times over LED/LCD.
I wanted the Alienware QD-OLED ultra wide but I also sometimes game on a PS5 so I may go with the 42” LG C2 instead.
And from what I gather burn in has been well mitigated from C8 series and onward.
More so with CX and C1.
Also the new QD-OLED is claimed to be less susceptible to burn-in since it only uses blue oled pixels and quantum dot filters to create red and green.
There has been no history of burn-in on any Apple OLED display.
Interesting. That said, my XR has burn in where the time is (top left) despite having a LCD.My XS Max had burn in on the top right where the battery and wifi indicators are.
Why would it be? Most normies don't know what "PS-LG" is so there will be almost no backlash.PS-LG is still doing business in Russia. Is this a problem for Apple?
Not sure about PS-LG but LG Electronics has halted all shipments to RussiaPS-LG is still doing business in Russia. Is this a problem for Apple?
It’s almost like there’s been something going on in the world that’s screwing with the supply chain. I can’t image what that would be… 😂2025?! technology is moving at a snails pace these last few years
If I live to 2032 that will be super cool! 😉I can't wait until we see microLED everywhere instead.
