Lifeproof case?

Maybe the one you got was a defective one? Have you contacted the manufacturer?

How is it that one person can have one that is perfect and the next one is far from it? QC issues?

I did not contact LifeProof about my case, I did check LifeProof's website they had some instructions to remove the air causing the pillow effect, but nothing worked for me.

I don't know if it's worth trying another one or not. The first one I tried was months ago. Maybe they've made changes to the case since then?

I went for a Defender instead recently, which is the updated one for the 4S, and I really don't have any complaints about it. Yes it is much thicker but that's not a huge issue for me.

I still would like to know if the pillow effect has really been taken care of or not because if it hadn't been for that it would be the perfect balance of protection in a good looking slim case.

No, the seal around the speaker area is the leak point for me .. not around the sides like it wasn't sealed. The case I bought at best buy worked flawlessly as well .. it was the replacement fronts they sent for the 4s redesign that failed.

I FINALLY managed to piece together a working case from the pieces they kept sending me. I am not happy with the case or the way I was treated while trying to get this resolved.

I will NOT be spending any money on the lifeproof case.

I had purchased one of the earlier v2's or someone swapped it? Anyway the one that says 4s on the front (from best buy) works perfectly.
