Since I hate reflections, I'm worried about screen protector's glossyness is it really so bad?
Any matte films to add?
Does the screen get scratched easier than the others or is just that it shows the scratches easier?

wow they opted to tell us that this case comes with a warranty!!!

but also to add in that the warranty doesn't cover any electronic devices in the case...so on the bright side! you will have an iphone 4 paper weight but they will replace your case to a brand new one!

why risk it? its like putting a ziplock bag over your phone

I received my black LP case about 3 weeks ago, and right way, the screen protector came in with scratches. Although the case itself passed the initial water test with flying colors, making/receiving calls via speakerphone and Facetime was horrible, due to the echoing effect. I emailed, tweeted... even called LP's customer service line for a permanent solution to these issues and was promised a new front replacement (this was during the first week of ownership). Until now, I've been given the runaround with different dates of shipping for the replacement. The last agent advised me that shipping will be made today and that an email confirming it will arrive. None so far...

To be honest, I understand very well that this is a start-up company who is trying to fulfill all customers' satisfaction. I'm also a very patient person, but almost 3 weeks and no sign of shipping? I don't think I can put my trust with that type of service. Sorry, LP, but you get 2 thumbs down in my book.

Just my personal experience here...

Yes the LP is garbage. Wait for the Catalyst. I have my pledge and order with them.

Why spend nearly 1/2 or a 1/3rd of the price of the iPhone itself on a case? Aren't you mac guys going to replace the iPhone in a year anyway when the new one comes out? My point exactly...

Some people (like myself) would rather wait a while before upgrading to another iPhone (upgrade date on November 2012). So a good case is essential, especially if you're the type who's always on the go and have little kids running around...

In my case, the LP is a hard lesson learned. May try out the OB Commuter or Pop case instead...

I love my LifeProof case and my experience with it has been very positive.

BUT....

I wanted to post this PSA. I ended up with 2 cases and gave one to a friend. He took it to a lake over the labor day holiday weekend to test in and around the water. He was jumping into the lake while filming video using the case. On one attempt the force of him, and the case, hitting the water caused the door which covers the 30-pin connector port to pop open.

His phone was ruined.

Luckily Apple offered to replace it under their one-time policy (he had Apple Care.)

But let this serve as a warning to those using the LifeProof case in and around water. Be careful with sudden impact.

BTW, the case wasn't used all that much so I don't think it was an issue of degradation of the water tight seal.

I guess it's luck of the draw when it comes to Lifeproof's customer service. My particular case may just have been from a bad batch, but hey, I did attempt several times via email, Twitter and regular phone calls to state my issues but was instead, given contradicting time frames and explanations of inventory unavailability. 3 weeks later, I still haven't received any replacement front from the company as promised.

For now, I'm sticking with my old OB Defender while awaiting my Acase Superleggera Pro to arrive in the mail by Tuesday. As for the 'water-proofness' aspect, I'll just use a ziplock bag. I'm glad there are people out there who are being accommodated on a positive note by Lifeproof, but that's unfortunately not true in my case...

My friend has (had) a LP and I didnt care for it. Ive been using the Rainballet. Pretty good so far. Also funded a new one on kickstarter.

That escape capsule from catalyst looks bulky and it doesnt have a door on the bottom to charge it, looks like you have to keep opening the case to charge it which would probably kill the seal. Its good if you dont need a case on everyday, but other than that i wouldnt spend money on that one. Only thing going for it is the clear backing and the glow in the dark color IMHO. I think i'll stick with LifeProof excellent everyday case that i dont have to take off to charge.

After having sound/call quality issues with my first Lifeproof case, I contacted CS. They sent me a new case-front. I don't know what changes they made, but the new case works great.:)

Here's new pics of the upgraded white front i received about 2 weeks ago. Notice the darker trim and bumpers to protect the silent switch. I've had no issues with this front, it works perfectly and the color is awesome, it's like a gunmetal. That color for the trim is supposedly how all the new ones will come including the pink. I have to say i love this company they fricken rule!

Have you had any problem with the white phone and the proximity sensor? I really want a protective case but everything I have tried has destroyed the functioning of the proximity sensor. The Lifeproof case looks great - I really want the pink! Thanks.
