Just got one at local BB, :D very happy.
It is very small comparing to O.Commuter, call voice is good, and the protection you get int the package is for all 4 is amazing.
What I don't like, screen bubles and clicks when texting, screen is too shiny, they should make mat version of it.
I'll keep it for 10 days or so, most likely I'll keep it, but if I can't get over the buble screen, back it will go to BB. 90. after tax in canada.

I actually just picked up a second one of these. Had been using the black one, but decided I wanted the white since I have a white phone. Granted I don't use the case for anything too intense, but I do love being able to man-handle the thing and toss it in my purse without a care, etc.

Its going back
2 things that really, really bothered me, is the way screen buble up and clicks when typing and even bigger issue, outside the light reflection, I can't see nothing. If they can make screen flat and matte :D, that would do it, but as it is $90. is way too much for something you're not happy with.

I agree with the "pillow effect" between the case screen and actual phone screen. I don't know how anybody can stand that, honestly.

Very easy to stand it because it goes away in a week or two as the screen cover stretches out. I've had mine for many months now and it never gets significant pillow effect. When it did, takes at least 3 seconds to rub it against your thigh to push the air out. I'm on the water every weekend and take lots of pics and having an optical glass lens cover is a huge plus. I can't imagine a better case for me.

I tried pushing the air out and it didn't change at all. The earpiece is raised which lifts the whole screen and when the charging port is open, air is free to enter the case so I don't know how stretching would ever make things better. If it layed flush like the Otterbox defender, it would be tolerable.

I love music. That is the true, Very loud music effect your hearing loss. you are listing music slow, I think, it is better for you and your hearing. The inner ear contains hair cells that change sound waves into nerve impulses that are sent to the brain. Loud sounds damage these hair cells and cause sensory hearing loss.

Ive had this case for about a month now. First impression, nice packaging but the case felt cheap... plasticky (not a word, i know).

I did the water test and everything worked like it should. I put it on my phone and noticed the pillowing right away. I didnt think I would like it but it took a few weeks before it went away. Its now to the point where I dont even think there is a gap.

I really didnt think Id like this case at first. It was hyped up so bad that I kind of actually wanted to hate it but now after owning it for this long I will never own anything different.

Its nice to just rinse it off in the sink with some soap. I noticed that where the cases come together those gaps can collect stuff. I just take an old toothbrush and scrub it and it looks good as new.

I left my screen protector one the front and back of the iphone and have had no issues. Screen is fine, sensitivity is great and no oil marks.

My only complaint is that the sound is much weaker.. even the earpeice while talking. Sometimes its hard to hear the caller when your in a louder enviroment.

I cant wait to use this phone snorkeling in mexico in a few months.

Don't buy this case!!!! I bought two, wasted $160 for something that protect your phone against a nuclear bomb but totally eliminates the responsiveness of you iPhone touchscreen.

I have had my life proof case since October and I can honestly say its the first time in my 4 years of using and iPhone that I haven't thought or had the temptation to switch up cases. I love my lifeproof and I love the total peace of mind that it allows me. (plus, my students love the fact that it is water proof. In a day and age where many more people have iPhones, mine is still very unique because it is totally water proof and still in mint condition).

Another two months of follow-up and there is absolutely no pillow effect. People who send it back because of this problem aren't getting the fact that as the screen cover stretches this "problem" totally disappears. I think that is why there are such variable responses to the case.

I have a white model for my (white) iPhone, and although I notice the "pillowing" effect somewhat, it's not something that bothers me too much. Of course you get spoiled when touching the glass screen directly, but I guess when you weigh the pros with the cons, it's probably something I (or others) can live with when you consider the protection the case provides. :apple:

I have not tried this yet but I my cousin have bought 4S from Best Buy using Promo Code. He told me he bought it on 30% discount. He bought it form Discounted Best Buy coupons I want to know is it available now on discount?

I could not disagree more. I really see no issues with the sensitivity of the touch screen. I am loving this case, it is the best I have used for any phone.

Apparently this is a subjective matter. I used the case and I am with the group of people that say that you lose all screen sensitivity. The pillow effect is horrific and you have to push harder to use the screen. I could not stand using it and I had to sell mine. Sure, the "lifeproof-ness" of the case is cool but at a major expense.

Yes, if subjective is what you want to call it. I have had no pillow effect since a week after I bought the case, and the screen sensitivity is no different than any other screen protector I have used. When I first tried the case, there was a physical distancing between the screen protector and the screen, especially away from the center of the screen, which I guess is what you are calling a pillow effect. And for a few days it even did make a clicking sound when it was pressed. That went away rapidly. I have two cases on two separate phones and neither had any of these problems persist longer than a week or ten days, and once the protector stretches just slightly it fits tightly against the screen. And as for it being completely sealed, even if it were it wouldn't prevent it from stretching...and it's not completely sealed. You can't take it below 10 feet underwater because of that. It is pressure sealed at the bottom ports. You can blow into the ports and see the effect, and you can suck air out to reverse that. But there's no need to do either once it settles. It's that simple. I would be interested in knowing how many sent it back because of the horrible pillow effect kept it longer than 2 weeks? You have a 30 day return as I recall.

I ran a two week test and the pillow effect never went away. The protector did not stretch and it clicked like crazy as you say.

I'm not waiting two months to break in a case lol

This was also my observation as well ... I tried it out for one week continuously and it didn't flatten out or dissipate. Of course, I kept telling myself that the benefits outweighed the disadvantages, but at times, the lack of tactile sensitivity was annoying. So what I am doing now is using it only when I absolutely need it, and reverting back to my other case options when I don't need "lifeproofing". ;)

bulletproof-iphone-case-3.jpg

This is the bulletproof iPhone case, the best protection that you can imagine.

I guess you didn't read the earlier posts. I've had the case for 6 months. The pillow effect was gone within 1 or 2 weeks (maybe even three) and has stayed gone. Since I got mine, my wife and another friend have bought them and neither has had any problem with a pillow effect. In fact I just put my wife's on last week and it had no pillow effect at the time I first put it on. Obviously YMMV. As far as I'm concerned it's the perfect case for my situation.

you can get Iphone 4S Case and many more from case mate.

so how do the volumn, silent, and port covers work? Are they covers you pop open and close?

I'm using the griffin, which is a great case for my line of work, but a pain to put in my pocket when i'm off duty, so i'm looking in to the life proof (again).

Volume, silent, and power button are all enclosed in rubber. I don't have any issues pushing the power or volume keys. The one bit of oddness is that because the silent switch is covered in rubber, it reverses the switch action. Push away for volume, pull towards you for silent instead of the normal way.

The dock connector has a swinging door that locks in to seal it and pops open for a charging cable. Only Apple-size cables fit, the fatter 3rd party ones do not.

I have bought iPhone 4S Case from case mate and give my iPhone a new look and protection.
