Just got my SS 44mm Gold watch. Pretty miffed I’m going to have to send it in to get replaced or repaired. Am I losing my mind here? This seems pretty bad.

I tried the picture test with my watch. To my eyes I dont see an issue. If I take a pic with my phone sure I see some unevenness. Big deal. Its not something that is even noticable.

Enjoy your watches and stop obsessing.

Near-black is one thing OLED still struggles with. Whether it’s banding or blotchiness, it can be an issue. I don’t think any of these watches in this thread are displaying anything particularly out of the ordinary.

I noticed something like this a bit earlier. Needless to say, I'm just going to try to not let it bug me. In most of my usage, I don't think it will be very noticeable and it's likely I'll run into this issue with replacement units, which are probably going to be hard to get around this time since they're still low in stock.

I'll come back to this in a couple of months or so and if it really bugs me, I guess I can replace it... I just wanna enjoy the damn thing and that's what I'm going to do.

Mine has this issue, but I’m just going to keep it up my sleeve as a free swap-out under AC+ in about 6 months or so...
