Alcove all, be sure they are MFI certified. You will pay 12 usd for any that are truly licensed. I like th ce compass cables. Do a google search or buy them from eBay. They come in 5 colors and are 5 foot in length. I also have a couple of monoprice that work well too.

you are likely right....may have to bite the bullet or just fork over the cash for an apple one!

Just make sure its certified. Belkin, Monoprice, Amazon Basics, etc all have Apple MFi certified options. Mand many many more.

ordered one yesterday so will see how this one works. Was looking at their website, and too bad they don't really offer much for android, as I was in the market earlier for an extra cable for my Note 3, and didn't want to go el cheapo for myself...:D:D
 
I got the OEM cable today at Staples for $14. They had them on sale for $15 plus 10% off with the code.
