I really would try. It's so difficult to try for a few mins in Apple as well though, however Apple have a good policy of return within 14 days where you can really get a "feel" of it and try it out extensively.Sensible advice. I'm considering the XR for sure, but so far it feels unwieldy to me (I'm a woman with narrow hands). But I'm going to stop in the Apple Store to hold it a few more times over the coming weeks to see if I can get used to it, since I remember thinking the 7 was impossibly gigantic when I got that too.
