So, on sunday, My mom and I went to the apple store so she could get the 6. I got mine launch day, so i already had it. As we waited in like, i met some really cool people, one of which was a man in his 70's who's son works at apple and helps put together keynotes apparently. I talked to him for a while, and despite being over 70, he was pretty cool and hip. He explained that he waits in line every iPhone launch because it's fun to him and he had sold his 5s to get a 6+. I showed him my 6 and he completely changed his mind :D

Now to the main part of the story lol.

So, while my mom was in line i went in to check out the cases and see what i liked best with space grey. i walked in and an old asian woman (obviously a scalper) had a pile of iPhones on one of the tables and they were all being purchased by her. I was really annoyed and surprised at this, so i counted. 27 iPhone 6's..... TWENTY-SEVEN! wtf. no wonder the phones are in short demand... is there not a limit on how many you can buy? i mean this was ridiculous. they kept bringing more and more iPhones out to her... in the end, i saw her walk out of the store with 3 apple store bags stuffed full of iPhones... I don't mean to be rude or mean, but i hope she got robbed... thats just ridiculous. Get a job. seriously...

I'm pretty sure the limit you can purchase at an Apple store is two, unless there is some shady stuff going on between the store manager supplying a black market dealer.

First 30 days should have to be tied to a new or existing phone line.

Yep, but that might cost Apple a few sales and we can't possibly have that now can we?

Before Apple let you buy only 2 phones.

When did they change that, also how many iphones you can other thru the apple store?

I think, I don't know, that it's two per model. So 2 phones, 4 carriers, 3 colors, and 3 sizes... As long as you don't mind an assortment!

its not really any different to someone buying anything else in bulk. Im sure the people who are buying those iPhones who are in a country that it probably isn't in yet appreciate what the lady is doing. If i had the time and money i would be doing it. Its an easy way to make a buck, but looked down upon nonetheless.

Funny, I saw the exact same thing at the Apple Store Sunday morning. I didn't count, but there was a huge pile of phones on the table.

I thought there was a 2 per person limit. Guess not.

She has a job. You just don't like it.

Scalpers that create supply constraints and then prey on those weak minded enough to crack to their hiked price demands are the worst kind of pond scum in the world IMO.

She was probably paid very little or even coerced into doing it. It's a larger problem and the scum is higher up in the food chain. That little 'ol lady isn't rock'n a huge overseas ebay store front.

You are saying a woman bought 27 phones from an apple store where the limit is two, i find that hard to believe.

First 30 days should have to be tied to a new or existing phone line.

Then people like me would not be able to get one. It should be limit two and first come first served. Simple.

They're actually just sending them to China. I dint think they're trying to sell them here. Pond scum is a bit harsh.

For those that want to watch the massive amount of black market scalpers created by Apple allowing no-contract cash purchases on day 1:

Couldn't she be a business owner and switching over their "fleet" to the new iPhones???

I have no idea...just saying. (Especially if there is a limit)
