Until this can be proven, without doubt and prejudice, it is unfair to state otherwise.

This would be true if he was the average person. However, once one becomes a public persona, this statement no longer holds true.

I guess this confuses me.

If you're not on "benefits", is it because you can't qualify? If so, wouldn't this week be better spent on convincing the appropriate body that you should qualify?

If you are on "benefits", wouldn't you agree that sleeping outside for week demonstrates that you have the ability to function at a particularly high level? Furthermore, wouldn't this high-level functionality be more than enough to function in the workplace?

I'm just curious what your angle is? As you are now a more public figure, I would like to know if you're representing seizure-prone people well, before I provide you with support, whether financial, moral or general attention.

Thanks in advance for responding to my questions.

Read my posts in the thread, I work in the non-profit sector. My career is in non-profit organizations. Even if I went to apply, I wouldn't qualify I'd I already am working and have a income.

In addition, I'm out here now because I'm in my spring break. It just happened to fall in the dams time frame as the iPad 2 launch.

For rest of you. Once again, assumptions are not facts. They are opinions without been backed up with proof and which there is nothing to proof to begin with.

Take it easy on Justin please. FYI Burger King is a recent non-profit company. He'll be handling a few Whoppers and flamer-grilled, flame-grilled patties sometime soon.

I appreciate what you're trying to get at here but you have to agree, there is no actual evidence that categorically proves with out any doubt that he is receiving disablility related funding from the US government.

Again, that was his "pity angle" from last summer which completely backfired on him. Guy brought it on himself. There is no evidence either way, especially after Mr. MacBieber spun it all over the globe, all of this is speculative discussion and frankly, without that topic, there's not much to discuss here. Frankly, guy lost all my respect last summer and a 2nd campout isn't help his cause much.

And if there's not much to discuss, then MR doesn't get the page views and the click $. You wouldn't want MR to close down now would you ?

Anyway, the disability thing was discussed to death, I'm seriously wondering why all you people aren't surprised someone on Spring Break wouldn't be out getting wasted something fierce and getting a few chicks pregnant. Isn't that what Spring Break used to be about ? :D

Obviously, assuming is acceptable in this thread...so let's assume he comes from an affluent family that has the means to support him and his eccentricities. Why would he need or want to beg for government funds if that's the assumed case? Maybe he's in a better position that most people and doesn't need charity from the government. Good for him.

I think a lot of the bitterness and childish bullying we see on here stems from the haters' own insecurities and shortcomings. We all amuse ourselves how we see fit. And it's funny to me, that most of the people calling him a lifeless loser are the same ones who come to this site 100 times a day, hoping to catch a blurry picture of an iDevice, or to drool over someone else's unboxing experience via YouTube.

People are too judgmental and too quick to attack others these days. How sad.

So you agree with me then?

What on earth do you mean by this statement?!

I really worry for some people.

A person who is a public persona has forfeited their right to privacy by default. People cannot selectively expose themselves, it's an all-or-nothing proposition.

How very sad indeed

Please read what I took the time to write.

Can you prove 100% that the person in question is receiving disability funding from the US government?

Yes or no?

So you agree with me then?

Nope, I think people have every right to be suspicious and discuss these suspicions and the ethicality of it all. They also have the right to make assumptions either way.

This is discussion a forum anyhow, so let's discuss away!

Please read what I took the time to write.

Can you prove 100% that the person in question is not receiving disability funding from the US government ?

Yes or no ?

Goes both ways. Feel free to not participate in our grilling if you don't think he deserves it, but please, don't play White Knight, this Justin guy is a grown man, he can take responsibility for his own comments.

No one would "attack" someone who was camping in line for an iPad2.

People are only "attacking" because the person in question set up a website and is making a "big deal about it." If someone garners media attention (internet or otherwise) they should expect a critical, whether good or bad, response.

I am referring to his garnering of media attention.

As for the disability thing goes. While this has been brought up by many, this is not something I said or confirmed. It was only assumed by members and thats how it originated. While it is true I was unemployed last year and I do have a seizure disorder. I never said I was on benefits of any kind.

So will you confirm that you have never recieved benefits of any kind from the government?

It's kinda sad. I can't go to Giz anymore because of their awful web site redesign, and now I can't go to MR anymore because they don't report anythingn remotely relevant and for some reason think this is news. I'm pretty sure the over 1200 dislikes isn't for this guy, but for the fact MR is just giving him the publicity hes crying about.

My friend - I am not the one making sweeping judgements and accusations against a person and his character. Attacking someone without the true understanding of the situation at hand.

You are one of these people... and without the evidence and facts to back it up.

How very, very sad

Go through the forum and read my response which I have posted already many times.

1st I'm on my spring break week. 2nd. I have a career in the non-profit sector.

I recommend making comments about the experience and simply ignore the discussion the rest of the forum members have turned to. They want to get responses from you on the topic.

If you simply comment on other topics and ignore the chatter, it will get under the skin of the other posters trying to have fun at your expense.

Are you a moron (legitimate nomenclature for a disorder)? I am referring to his garnering of media attention.

Ok, so he's garnering media attention. What's your point? YouTube and reality tv are flooded with people snatching their 15 minutes of fame, at any given opportunity. So this guy uses an iDevice to get some media attention. WHO THE **** CARES!?!? Why are people getting so offended about it? What do you, or anyone else, lose by him sitting in a tent all week long? BFD!

And he's never mentioned or stated he receives government benefits of any kind. On the contrary, he has stated that he DOESN'T receive any govt benefits. So why are people making such an issue out of it? Boredom? Jealousy? A lack of life of their own? What is it!?

If you claim to be a public figure or celebrity, then you must expect to be under constant scrutiny, to be discussed by people or even ridiculed on public forums.

What sweeping judgments and accusations ? We're simply discussing the guy's own comments on his life, something he decided to make public. Frankly, if you don't want people speculating on your life, you keep it private.

And I'm not your friend buddy. I'm not your buddy guy. I'm not your guy friend! haha, you made me think that of that hilarious South Park episode. There, that's a good topic to discuss instead of the friendless people that play homeless on their spring break.

Why are people getting so offended about it?

I think because its on Page 1 of their favorite Apple news and rumors source and this isn't Apple news nor rumors. ;) This is click bait to generate $.

Indeed... by people with no real factual evidence.

Thank you

So will you confirm that you have never recieved benefits of any kind from the government?

I'll confirm that I haven't by saying so. What you want me to do to prove it? I'm out side a apple store camping.

Iv said multiple times already while I was unemployed last year and do have a disability, but that does not automatically mean that I get benefits and that's what everyone assumed.

I do work, and my career is in non-profits. Even if I went to apply I wouldn't qualify because I'm working and have a income.

I'm also on my spring break this week so I'm on vacation time.

You're too accustomed to American entertainment.

I couldn't "care less", but it's my prerogative to be critical of what passes as media. What is so difficult to understand about this?
