It would be awesome if someone who pre-ordered received their iPad a day early and went to where these dorks are at to show off.

They already look like they need a shower.

Must agree with you there. Drinks, food, likeminded fans and even a song-and-dance number from the Apple Store employees. It's more than just humdrum queuing for sure.

I queued for a day to get the iPad 2, and it was an interesting experience but I couldn't fathom camping out for days!

I might drop by the local store if my iPad 3 turns up in good time. Will be interesting to see if anything's going on.

how is that fun? did u have sex in line too? :D:apple:

Hope someone posts pictures of them to see if they are still smiling after a few more days :D

I can get ya to four...

These guys need to get a life and wait in front of their computers at home constantly refreshing their tracking information for a week instead :p

Beautiful 18 year old female apple employees in line?
Well id sure like to share the love!:p

Seriously: cant wait for the event and what apple will do to organise it:)

Same thing happened on the Vita launch.

Is it a coincidence that on both London (Vita and this) launches, neither of the people involved were actually english?

Them two queue up for all product releases, they were first in line for the Vita release the other week too. One of them is handicapped. Which is fair enough, if they are happy to do that then good luck to them.
I, however have taxes to pay. Hmmmpf

Those guys are clearly there because they are sponsored by Monsters energy drinks and Battlefield 3.

They have been paid to be there.

Heh thats interesting but yeah clearly they know they don't need to do so just doing it for the media stuff.

I felt silly waiting for the iPad 2 around 1 PM for the 5 PM launch at Best Buy, but had no trouble getting it.

Whenever I see lines of any kind for product launches (that last at least a day or more), I always like to wonder how many in that line don't have jobs. And then I wonder whether those same people complain about their lack of employment. And wonder whether they go to "occupy" protests lamenting their condition. And finally, I wonder whether they realize they've got their priorities all messed up when they're standing there in line waiting to spend money they supposedly don't have.

And then I just laugh and wait for my preorder.

Ordering online and having it turn up on your doorstep the day of release and not missing an entire week of pay > Living outside a store on a dirty, cold London street for a week. I get that there's atmosphere thats cool ect but is it seriously worth that?

I also think it is unfair that the first people in the queue are often given free-bee's too. those two guys actually won a years supply of playstation vita games for being the first in line for the vita, which is bad because they queued up in the week when hardworking folk couldn't of.

Meh, I don't think it's unfair. Let them get freebees. The opportunity cost of waiting in line for a week would be just as high.

I remember the iPhone 4 launch. During online pre-orders, Apple's site was taking a dump, so I made a pick-up reservation. Then an hour later, I was able to order for delivery. So I gave my reservation to my cousin who waited in line all night. My iPhone 4 came a day early, so I had it when I showed up to meet him there. (I had to authenticate the reservation with my Apple ID.)

I was like a superstar there.... LOL. I was recording 720p video of the event on my new phone, and I had tons of people asking to see it... look at the retina display... etc. One guy asked to hold it in his hands, and I had to refuse! The phone was naked with no case. No grubby paws on my new phone... LOL. :D:apple:

Just a couple of publicity whores with no job.

You do realize that with the first production run sold out, they can flip those two iPads on Ebay for quite a load of profit?

These two might just be quite enterprising.

I think it says it all that one of them has a Battlefield 3 hoody and the other a Monster hoody. These two guys need to get some jobs and lifes lol.

What if that is their jobs? Monster and EA probably know that the photos of the guys would spread around the internet so what is a better way than to pay a couple of people to advertise their products with a free iPad just by waiting in line.
