From the reports coming in globally, it looks like 16GB is in good supply, but many stores didn't receive shipments of 64GB. Wondering if that's reflective of preorder demand.

Will see how U.S. stores shape up.

I was gonna see if I could pick up the SE this morning in-store, but my preorder is "Preparing for Shipment" so I can't cancel it anymore. April 4 - April 5 it is.

You could go to the store and pick one up and return the preordered one when you receive it.

I'm heading out in a few to my store to get two. Can't imagine there will be much of a line but I just want to be safe especially since I want the 64gb ones.

Tbh, I'm thinking that the SE isn't going to generate much of a line, though I've been wrong before.

I got there at 7:20am. There were about 20 people in line ahead of me. I got a 64gb iPhone SE in silver, unlocked. They still had all the colors available for all the carriers. The line grew to be about 50 people by 8am, when they started handing them out. I was out of there by 8:20.

Instore pickup available for me live now!
[doublepost=1459429067][/doublepost]Just ordered! Pickup today :)

Color me surprised, didn't think there'd be a line at all.

Interesting. Are all Apple stores open early today. Might take a quick coffee break to check it out.

You must live in a heavy populated area. No lines what so ever at our local Apple store. Glad you got yours and all is good.

No lines at the Apple Store Upper East Side as well. They opened earlier than scheduled. They still have stocks of the sim-free (unlocked) iPhone SE. I just got mine an hour ago from that store and have just canceled my online order.

Just place an online/in-store pickup for a Space Gray/64gb/Sim Free here in Des Moines available for pick up today.

Both 16 and 64GB Space Gray SIM-free iPhone SE are available for pick up at my 2 nearest Apple Stores.

This is a low-key launch, but that's a good thing for people who have been waiting forever for a new 4" device. More available stock means an easier and less stressful shopping experience.

Just got my two SEs and am typing from my Gold 64gb right now. Loving it so far. Will set up the wife's Rose Gold 64gb this evening.

By the time the store opened there was around a dozen people in line.

Grand Central store.

Also, part of the line was people buying iPad Pros 9.7".

It's a low key launch, but they were still doing the applause thing for the first buyers. The guy next to me was trading in a 6s Plus for a sim-free SE.

I've actually really enjoyed that aspect of it - ordering online didn't require the constant frantic refreshing that I endured to get my 6, haha. I'm sure things will be chaotic in 2017, which is when I plan to next upgrade..

Yes, I'm using this phone to get me onto the "S" year schedule. I want the OLED display they're touting for the iPhone 7s.

Ordered my wife's online at about 10am. Plan on trying to change it to the apple payment plan with a trade in when I get there. Hopefully there are no issues with that.

No issue or problem, it will just take a few minutes longer. They will do a return and then handle the new transaction to include the trade-in of your selected device.

Zero lines at carrier stores and BB (who did not even bother putting it on display or add employees for morning open).

A non starter in my area, I cruised the mall at 10 o'clock for Verizon and t-mobile and AT&T and nobody was at any of them to purchase after their stores opened. Same thing at carrier locations outside the mall down the road.

Sorry, Tim.

Just for fun I checked my store on-line and they are out of the two versions I got (64GB Rose Gold and Gold). Glad I got there early. Even with only a dozen people there (one with a goat in a diaper!) when they opened it was busy all morning/early afternoon as I went back at noon for their iPhone Basics class.
