Right now, I have macOS installed on my Mac Pro 7,1 internal storage, and Windows 11 on a dedicated NVMe drive. Lateley, I have been thinking about installing Linux (probably Ubuntu) on another dedicated NVMe drive.

Has anyone tried this with Ubuntu or another Linux distro? I'm just wondering if the Mac Pro hardware (things like MPX video card module, Thunderbolt ports, WiFi/Bluetooth, etc) is recognized out of the box?

Thanks for any info.

Here be an older thread discussing the same topic. Whether you will find an answer to all your questions... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
