Interesting. The vast majority had no problems :)

Yeah, even though Apple pulled one version of the update because of defects that made it fail horribly on some Macs.
Just goes to show that producing universal updates is more complex than some are willing to credit.

What are there now, about 40 different pieces of hardware capable of running Lion? Maintaining software compatibility across that large a lineup is a hell of job.

After seeing the posts about the problems with the Delta version, I held off a week. I finally did install the combo update today. No indication of problems so far.

I've installed the Delta update when it came out, and I've had no problems as of yet. Just in case, I did download the Combo update, but I have not used it yet. I kind of jumped the gun on the Delta, and got nervous when people started posting problems, so I am holding off on my iMac EFI update for a few days.

did not have any seen problems with the update after it installed on my macbook pro but when i tried to transfer some videos i had ripped with my macbookpro over my network to my mac mini then all hell broke loose 5 gig file transfer said it would take 2 hours were before 10 minutes or faster was norm and when the time machine backup hit the machine slowed to a crawl so i say thats my problem and i still have the time machine to time capsule bug were sometimes it looses track of the sparse bundle for the backups

Punctuation? Dang brosef. Delta, then combo for good measure. Tons of problems. Lion is so joto sometimes.

recently:

lion said there was no room on the startup hd for applications, rebbot ran disk utility and it said i only had 26gb free (when I have almost my entire 120gb hd minus 14gb for apps).

plus now everytime I boot up it says something about a mount failing? not sure, i will have to reboot and screenshot it to share.

at first i noticed a couple problems with launchpad, now it's getting worse. I never believed all the negativity on the forums but all the sudden it slapped me in the face. I will have to try downloading the combo update.

Can I do this with the update already installed? and the only reason I did not download the combo is because my internet is so slow its going to take almost 8 hours! gotta love usb modems in the dessert.

Updated with no issue.

Although I have to say the loud beep when my iMac restarted scared the bejesus out of me.

Launching of applications has become really slow. Preview takes years to load. I don't want to wait for so much time to open a pdf or an image.

I had finder spike my CPU to 100% at one point but I have no idea if that has to do with the update. I killed it and haven't had anything happen since, like I said, have no idea if it even has anything to do with the update or not.

Other than that, no problems.

I had the same problem. iA Writer for example took a second to load, after the update it tools 10 seconds! I did a clean install of 10.7.2, upgraded to 7.3 and no problems so far.

My 2011 MBP bricked out after the combo update.
Had to restore to a timemachine backup...

Although I think I caused it. I'm thinking I reset halfway through the update process... It was taking ages and I thought it was done..

My wi-fi was working fine on 10.7.2, but now I have the "no wi-fi from sleep" problem in 10.7.3.

Lion has not been a lot of fun for me. And Safari constantly crashes on my iPad.1.

My respect and admiration for Apple products is waning...

I had some problems pop up about 3 days after I did the Delta Update from 10.7.2 to 10.7.3. I restored back to 10.6 and then download the massive (4.06GB) 10.7.3 from the App Store and found a lot of stuff that was quirky before...now works. Might be something to think about for some people who're having problems.

The update for me helped the MBP run faster, the only problem I've had (which is not unsolvable but it is a little annoying) is that wifi does not connect automatically after sleep or after restart, neither on my MBP nor my Mac Mini; I have to select my connection again every time. I see many people over the Apple forums who also have this issue and apparently there isn't a fix yet. In my case my ISP also changed my modem recently due to a change to fiber optic and I'm not sure if maybe the modem is the problem here, although by the looks of things the issue is indeed with Lion 10.7.3 (plus, my iTouch and Wii don't have any problems connecting to internet). I downloaded today the Airport Utility update but it didn't solve the issue either, hope Apple solves this soon.

I installed the delta update on 3 computers a few days ago and 2 installs went ok. My old iMac (white 24") and my MacBook both run fine with 10.7.3. The 2010 iMac now has the wake from sleep issue. The problem seems sporadic though, hard to figure.

sleep prob

while the combo update was uneventful it did introduce a niggly annoyance: My Mac Pro will take between 20 to 30 seconds to sleep after selecting Sleep from the Finder (same using kb shortcut).
The screen will black out but the computer itself takes time to go into sleep mode.

I just did software update, not sure if thats the combo or not, my mind just went totally blank, it was big though.
Btw, I downloaded it the same day it was released.

Perfect update, absolutely flawless.
Everything seems smoother and faster.
Before the update, I had to manually detect displays when plugging into my tv, now it does it automatically.

Yikes I need help

About a week ago I had an o/s update pop up while working away and quickly clicked ok. The result was a disaster. Any help would be greatly appreciated . My iMac is new as of May 2011 and I've never had a problem, all updates installed fine. This one. Not so much.

The Mac boots fine but no program, including Finder will load without crashing, with the same pop up window advising of the crash. Weirdly this window's three option buttons, relaunch, report, ignore, all have the same odd colored background and thick question marks in each button. None of the button do a thing.

Nothing launches, I can't restore, I can do anything. Dead in the water.

Help please.

I just have a question then: is it worth to update to 10.7.3 from 10.7.2? Any real improvement or just maintenance?
