I am really disappointed with Apple's Customer Support regarding this issue. They are clueless and they refuse to make it right and please the customer.

Why is it that Apple needs to "verify" my claim when people who used the Online Store method got their codes instantly.

Honestly, I included my serial number and proof of purchase. What more do they need? My fingerprints, births-certificate? lol:rolleyes:

On a lark, I tried the short form lion up-to-date request page again -- AND GOT THROUGH! I'm d/ling Lion as I type this. No email confirmation or anything, just happened to go through that time. Good luck fellas!

Did you have to use a credit card before finishing the $0 purchase?

I just bought myself a macbookpro from plaisio.gr
Do you know how I qualify or if I qualify for the free upgrade?

Thanks

If they are an official Apple reseller, then it qualifies or it should actually come with Lion.

If they are not, then the laptop must have been bought from Apple or one of its resellers after June 6, 2011.

EDIT: Anyone got their codes yet? I put my claim in on July 22. Still nothing.

I've not even got my code I applied for the the 21st July, and the website still won't accept my serial number even though my machine was purchased on the 10 June.

Maybe it's a blessing in disguise as the more I read about the woes with Lion the more I am thinking of waiting for the first patches/sticking with Snow Leopard.

It is an official reseller.
I went through the UK store, got the code, job done, downloading now. Fingers firmly crossed :)

Anyone know how to keep save a copy to boot from later?
