I received an iPod as a birthday present, in october 2007.
I had a Pentium III with Windows ME :)eek:   ), so I couldn't install iTunes on it.
I had already decided to switch, buying an iMac, and I did it the day after the "freeze" issue was solved (OS 10.5.1), in november 2007.
Then my 1st daughter (12 Y/O) received another iPod.
My 2nd son has asked an iPod as a 1oth birthday present (March 2009).

From memory, the actual Mac model numbers might be off:

Apple ][+ clone (1984)
Mac LC (1990)
Mac 6500 (1996)
Mac 8500 (1997)
Mac 9500 (1998)
Mac G3 400 (2000)
Mac G4 Dual 1mHz (2001)
iMac Blue (can't remember Hz) (2001)
Mac G4 Dual 1.25 mHz (2003)
MacPro dual 2.66 (2007)

iBook Orange (1999)
Macbook Pro 1.5 mhz (2004)

iPod 5 GB (?) (2001) (died in 2003)
iPod 20 GB (2003) (died in 2005)
iPod Nano 4gb Green (2006)
iPod Touch (2008)

A nice little slew of Apple products. All are now given away or sold off aside from the latest iPod, MacPro, and Laptop. And I still have the orange iBook buried in my closet.

Though I am quite certain we have had a big thread like this before and that I have posted in it.

Power Mac 6500/250 (my favorite mac! ran MacWrite Pro better than my MBP runs Pages:)*)

Powerbook G4 1.5 GHz 15", 160GB (my workhorse for 4 years)
MacBook Pro early 2008 2.4GHz, 4GB, 320GB 7200rpm (great screen)

misc apple stuff:
iPhone 1st generation
iPod 4G 40GB
iPod shuffle 1st generation
iPod Nano 16GB product red (2008)

*: it's sad that i could run a 120 pages (~50 tiff files) thesis on a 32MB ram 250MHz Mac better than a simple Pages document on a 2.4 GHz dual core Mac with 4GB ram.

It only started 2.5 years ago...

MacMini Core Duo 1.66ghz
- iPod Nano 2nd Gen 8gb
MacBook Core 2 Duo 2ghz
- iPod Nano 3rd Gen 8gb
MacMini Core 2 Duo 2ghz
- iPod Touch 2nd Gen 16gb

So looking at that, my next purchase will be another Mac!

(still got them all bar the 2nd Gen Nano)

intel iMac 2006
Macbook Pro 2007
mac mini 2008

ipod nano
Ipod touch 1g
Ipod touch 2g
Before intel released with bootcamp I couldn't do it because too many pc programs that I needed, plus the labs had macs.
