yeah i'm lookin for
radiohead
tool
dave matthews
beatles
rhcp
and a more complete medeski martin and wood collection. check them out if you like heavy funky jazz, although all they've got on itms is the crazy psychedelic album that scared away all the dancing hippies, hahaha.

of course my posting is somewhat pointless, as i only use itms for preview purposes, helping me decide which albums to buy at the store. and even if i wanted to buy... vive le Canada!

Woah... this thread is sure back from the dead.

Although since it's here, I did a quick check, and it's interesting to note that in the six months since this thread was alive about half of the groups listed, both well known and not, are now on there.

Still none of Weird Al's early stuff or anything from any Japanese composers, though (apparently I'm not the only one still waiting after half a year...).

It would be cool if people could start compiling a list of bands still not on the iTMS. If I had the time, I'd do it...

about tower...

tower is currently filing for chapter 11 because people aren't buying music from them, but you can always support walmart in its destruction of the universe.

Look before you post!

I suggest you guys actually LOOK on iTMS before you start listing bands that are not on there. A lot of the bands listed ARE on iTMS. Granted a complete collection of songs by one artist is hard to find, but still please check out the music store before you post that they are missing an artist.

This thread started in Oct/Nov I think.. that's why you see a lot of artists listed that are currently on there... so don't blame the old lists.. blame the person that brought this thread back from the dead.

The Seldom Scene
GG Allin
Jethro Tull
Misfits
Black Flag
MDC
Dead Kennedys
Agent Orange
Chris Thile/Nickle Creek
Frank Zappa
Leftover Salmon
Trailer Park Troubadores
Mumbo Gumbo
Old And In The Way

DAVE MATTHEWS BAND

actually, save for a few bands, all iTMS is, is crap. Not that the store is bad, or the interface, but the music...geezus, I can.t believe you people listen to this crap. I couldn.t believe my ears the other day when I heard Otkast [spelling?] won album of the year...geez, just further solidifying the fact that all music has gone to hell. at the superbowl, janet didn.t offend me, it was the 'music'.

I hope everyone is sending these to apple and not just posting them here where they will do little good.

i don't know how much good that would do. i think apple knows which artists they're missing most of the time, its just that some artists don't want their stuff on the store for their own reasons. Many artists don't like the idea of big companies making lots of money thanks to their music. Others like to maintain the integrity of their albums as entire pieces instead of just a random mix of entirely unrelated singles, and itunes says they can't do that, they have to offer songs seperately. Others like to be able to write one good song and sell it as a 20$ cd with some other crap thrown in to fill those 78 minutes.
I think maybe those last ones are starting to give in though, realizing that they can probably make some good money through itunes, or something like that.

personally, i like listening to albums (when their done right, anyways), i love it when a band is able to put together an album that plays well from beginning to end. jobs said that he wouldn't allow artists to sell albums unless they offered single tracks to be sold serperately. If apple buys apple records as some rumours have it, i wonder how they'll selll albums like sgt pepper and abey road, those things really can't be listened to one track at a time.

The Cruxshadows
VNV Nation
Bella Morte
KMFDM
Paralysed Age
Theatre of Tragedy
Lords of Acid
Abney Park
Juno Reactor (They have one single)
The Sisters of Mercy (They have half an album)
Android Lust (They have one album)

needed iTunes Artists

Van "The Man" Morrison!!!!
There are a couple of songs from a compilation album but none of Van's

I guess when Steve Jobs says they have 80% of the download market, they don't really give a d^^& about what your needs are!!

Maybe a petition needs to be started.

Sparky's:(

As has already been mentioned:

Tool and Metallica.

Some of the bands I would like to see on there:

1. Anekdoten
2. Failure
3. Focus
4. Amorphis
5. Iced earth
6. Liquid Tension Experiment

Can't think of anything else off the top of my head.
