Let's compile a list of confirmed native apps that will be available from the App Store.

I'll start with the ones demoed at WWDC keynote (with thanks to MacUser)

Super Monkey Ball
eBay
loopt - location-based social networking tool
Enigmo - physics-based puzzle game from Pangea
Cro-Mag Rally - 3-D caveman racing game from Pangea
Band - app from solo developer Mark Terry of Cow Music
MLB.com
Modality - medical app
MiMvista - medical imaging app
Krull - game from Digital Legends Entertainment

There is also OmniFocus

Any others?

It has to do with you creating a creature and it has to survive in the world and it grows and whatever, it's pretty cool.

AIM is coming out, and was demoed at the SDK event. I think it was also referenced when apple talked about their PUSH server during WWDC.

From what I heard, Bioshock is in the process of being turned into an iPhone game. I'm still skeptical about how they could pull off something like that.

Or...

...better still, the iPhone equivalent of MS Office. The fact that Hardy Macia is developing the Pocket Money application is the first step towards acquiring iPhones in this household, but I need the spreadsheet and word processing capabilities of something like Office before we're willing to make the leap and lose the Palm PDA in the bargain.

iWork is cute, but as a functional "works" application or suite of applications, it leaves a lot to be desired.

I dont see the purpose of this thread. When Appstore gets released I bet you'll find all Apps @ apple.com, in the "downloads" section.

yes, but in the meantime it would be good to know what apps have been confirmed as being developed. What's wrong with that?

I would love to have slingplayer. I used it on my windoze mobile. I got my iphone on release day and this is the only app I miss. I have a dedicated TomTom which I bought after getting my iPhone as I had this on my WM.

All these document editor apps are great but how are we going to get our documents onto the iPhone?

I don't think email is the right way, I'd rather have a "drop" area in a tab in iTunes that allows me to drop specific file formats onto the iPod to have them in a separate area away from email where I can view, edit, save and then drag the documents off when I'm done.

Doesn't have to be a full disk-mode implementation like in the classic or the nano, by all means Apple keep that specific to the other iPods but give us a simple way to get the last section of our content onto our iPhones. You've already given us music, movies, podcasts, photos, games, calendars, contacts, email, internet, maps, the list goes on - let us drag and drop our documents on there too.

I think slingplayer is available if you jailbreak it in the mean time while waiting!

Good shout that, really hope Apple do something like this in the near future

Forget iTunes, flash drive capability is what is needed.

They'll be listed and available to download in iTunes.

WEB IS is coming out with Pocket Informant 08 for iPhone. This is an incredible datebook & contact replacement app from Windows Mobile. It has 10x the capability of the stock program. I've been using it for the last two years. It's amazing.
