The iTunes only loading is a problem and one of the reason businesses are going to be wary of the iPhone as a corporate tool.

I dont see the purpose of this thread. When Appstore gets released I bet you'll find all Apps @ apple.com, in the "downloads" section.

I'd appreciate knowing whether the apps I like are going to be in the store. Otherwise, I'll plan to jailbreak it.

So far, I think I'll be jailbreaking. Besides, I like having a variety of themes. The built-in ones are snoozeworthy.

omniFocus should be out by the end of July. I'd suspect that 1Password will have a native app out as well.

iPhone apps

1. Excited about likely SlingPlayer and TomTom.

2. Any developers out there...a very cool app would be location-aware 911 utilizing GPS data (i.e. tap '911' icon and based on where you are at, automatically route to local call center).

3. Any word on Pandora for iPhone?

Um, I'm pretty sure this will be built into the phone app when you dial 911...

Unless I am severely mistaken (and my mom is a dispatcher, so I really don't think I am) this is already how 911 works...

That was my understanding for landlines, but is this the case for mobile phones also?

It's been the case for years now. With mobile phones that don't have GPS functionality, they use tower triangulation to approximate your location when you call 911.

As PoitNarf said, this has been the case for a long time. Hell, cellular 911 operators actually get state subsidies in Illinois. Where I am from originally the State Police used to answer cellular 911, but now the counties due because they get state assistance to cover the extra call volume...

Wow, guess I've been out of the loop...OK, has anyone heard anything about Pandora on iPhone?

Pim???

Has anyone announced a PIM (Personal Information Manager)?

I need real To Do's with alarms, Reminder Alarms, etc. And I don't want to have to enter everything as a meeting for it to alert me at the appointed time.

Pocket Informant has said they are producing one.

Great News!

Thanks bigtar & gibbz...

I am looking forward to seeing both of these made available in the App Store. They both have their merits.

I can't believe they are going to try and charge $1.99 for ... pong.

Connect 4 looks cool however they are on crack charging $4.99 for it.
