I wanna try Google's free offering and it's only available in the US. they're not even trying and obviously a knee-jerk reaction to Apple
how you would handle licensing for those Asian music? nightmare if you ask meThis radio will now spread the U.S. rap trash among world teens. They should've make a more variable music choice for the "world radio". If it's really world radio then it should include current European, Asian etc hits. That one would be truly great and uniting station.
I'm been using the genre specific "stations". In fact, I haven't heard or seen the Beats1 station yetI've been listening this morning, yet to hear a classic rock song. Seems very teenage oriented to me...... I'll listen to it today to give it a go, though unless they play an assortment of tunes, this is not for me.
Ah! Well, just remember that everything on Apple.com (except for some support stuff) it's always the US Apple website. That's why you get the US page when you type in Apple.com, and not the UK page or similar.I just went to apple.com and switched the "country" to Puerto Rico, although I now notice that this directs you to Apple's generic Latin America website.
It is interesting to me to see the different pricing between countries. Some countries being cheaper, like India is expected. But, for instance within the Eurozone, in Germany it cost €9.99 but directly East in Poland it is only €4.99. I assume Apple is just matching competitors pricing.
Could you share more details if you're into this music business?how you would handle licensing for those Asian music? nightmare if you ask me
Something that only Apple can really answer. When will apple music be available in israel?
LOL, rap and hip hop are already very popular around the world and not just among teenagers. I'm surprised we don't have Classic Rap stations the way we have Classic Rock stations, maybe larger cities do? And from my experience listening on and of over the last 26 hours they have played music from all over. The music varies a lot between the DJs. Ebro was clear about his intention to represent NYC, so he obviously played a lot of hip hop as NYC is a mecca for it. But he also played music by Caribbean immigrants to NYC. On the other side, I don't remember St. Vincent playing anything that could be mistaken for rap, but I didn't listen to her entire show.
I too hope they expand their DJs to more places around the world, but it's also been one day. I expect Beats 1 to be successful and to grow. Personally, I think a DJ out of Jozi would be pretty cool.
I guess sarcasm wasn't your strong point.I guess geopolitics wasn't your strong point.
Yeah thats the usual excuse people use.I guess sarcasm wasn't your strong point.
Depeche Mode's Enjoy the Silence, New Order's Blue Monday (12" nonetheless).St Vincent's first Mix Tape (for an 11 year old who wrote in) has included Depeche Mode's Blue Monday, Deee-Lite's Groove is the Heart and Devo's Whip It.
No. He was right. The joke was obvious.Yeah thats the usual excuse people use.
