Hey all,

Before I updated to 1.1.4 I couldn't view my bank statements in PDF format. Well today with the update I was able to view a 33 page PDF file for my car alarm manual.

Can anyone confirm this as well? Or maybe my phone was just having issues on Chase.com the other day?

ya, this is nothing new.

1.1.4 has made the iPhone itself more resiliant and rubbery.

Bounce it off the ground from about 36" and you will see it is much more likely to survive the impact than before 1.1.4. Make sure to remove any case or covering first.

List of what has changed in 1.1.4...PDFs in Mail and Safari!

Upgraded to 1.1.4 last night. Now I can read PDF attachments in Mail! Safari too!

Clicking a PDF attachment in Mail opens the PDF by cascading right. You can return to the email by hitting the "Message" button in upper right. The PDF Reader can rotate like photos and web pages when you turn the phone on it's side. Sadly email messages still do not rotate.

Clicking on a PDF attachment on a web page in Safari opens a new browser page.

****Okay, just read this is nothing new. When did this show up? I'm a heavy user of my iPhone and I've never seen this before, and I've never seen anyone write about this before now.

Another one...

Ok, I don't know if this is new or not, but I never noticed it until now. In Safari when you click the plus to create a bookmark, At the bottom of the list of buttons before 'Cancel' it says 'Mail Link to this Page' and when you click on it it opens a new email with the page URL in it. Was this in there before? If it is I'm going to be really mad at myself because I'm always manually typing in URL's in emails on the iPhone because I thought there was no way to copy and paste them. Please tell me this is new...

I just did that, and you are completely RIGHT!!! WOW!!! 1.1.4 rocks.

You need to update your signature and add Hossa....

And take out Fleury since Conklin is the number 1 goalie:)

My speaker volume seems to be lower than what it was prior to the update.

Dropped Calls

I was getting a lot of dropped calls with 1.1.3. Now with the update to 1.1.4, I haven't had any at all. Let's hope it stays that way.

1.1.4 turned my iPod touch into a 17" MacBook Pro. Weird, I'm pretty annoyed because I can't fit it in my pocket anymore. Safari does seem snappier on it though and flash works!?!

I hope I'm not going to be one of these people who post something that was already there but I noticed today that in email there is a folder called "Apple Mail To Do". I never noticed this before so is it new? What is the purpose of it? It doesn't sync my to-do's from Mail?

noticed that too. it mails to do's to that inbox but not sure if thats a new feature.

google maps is more accurate and sporadic for me. It puts me closer and further each time I hit the button. Safari seems a bit faster. I've read reports that the cell phone reception is improved with the new baseband. Other than that, I haven't noticed anything. Jailbreaking still works. I'm not sure the purpose of this update unless we are getting the sdk on Friday.

Google maps utilizes the SKyhook technology which is seperate from the firmware. It just looks up your CellID or WiFi AP and determines if the AP isnt in their DB, shows you the Cell tower location.

Nothing in their firmware can really make your "locate me" more accurate. Just add your AP to their DB
