Live 2019 iPhone Event Coverage: 'By Innovation Only'

So one more thing? So that rumor was a flop. No new Apple TV, no Apple Tags, and no new HomePod Mini. Seems like they are holding back for an autumn event later next month, where they should talk about at least some of those things alongside the 16" MBP and maybe new AirPods. iPad Pro is also still on the table, even though rumors were pointing to Spring 2020.

Because they deliver them in more than just the US you know...
The 5 hour change is to make it easier for people on the east coast to order moving their window from 3am to 8am. It has nothing to do with people ordering in other countries. They're screwed anyway.

I am underwhelmed. It's obvious that Apple reached the after Steve period of less innovation.
I know people will jump on my head but Tim is clearly trying to keep a line that provides the cash cow for Apple, and it makes financial sense but long term I am hoping for some new designs on the table at least on the iPhone part...

Know what I find funny about all this CPU talk.......
Years ago, when Apple did NOT have the fastest processor the Apple fans said CPU speed was not important - called it the megahertz myth. Now that they have a quick one, they rave about it.
Why is it suddenly a big deal?

You mean when Apple used PPC chips in Macs, while Intel was using ridiculously long pipelines in the Pentium 4 range, to increase clock speed rapidly, without actually getting significant performance benefit, and drawing huge amounts of power?

No one said a powerful CPU is not important, anywhere, ever. What many people, including those using e.g. AMD cpus when P4 was doing it's "4GHz or bust" routine said, is that merely increasing the clock speed of the CPU alone doesn't necessarily increase the performance, if the CPU can't actually do a meaningful amount of extra work because of the increased frequency.

But don't let facts and logic get in the way of a good apple bashing.

They definitely priced Apple TV+ appropriately at $4.99/mo.

Sure but for what content exactly? I mean the catalog of other offerings is massive. Think HBO etc. I just don't see what Apple is bringing to the table? I want access to their catalog for a monthly price, not access to only their original content. Honestly, did I miss that part or is it JUST their ho hum original stuff?
