For one, the new AppleTV doesn't require you keep your MBP on to access the iTunes store or content, for one. In that regard, it's self-sufficient.

Um, to access content on your MBP yes, your MBP has to be on. Especially since you can only rent content from the iTunes store on the new AppleTV.

September 1st + "available next week" = 1 + 7 days = september 8th.

A lot of people had already guessed that it would only be available on the 8th because of that back to school promotion.

I order my iPod Touch online yesterday and it is supposed to get here on the 13-16... is it really going to be in stores on the 8th? I really need to get it on the first day....
