Uh,the 5C isn't aimed at the 5/5s crowd.Hence the cost difference & colors.

What if you're someone, like me, who can't shell out $200 on a contract for the 5S but doesn't want a cheap plastic phone in, frankly hideous, colors? I just wanted a nice, metal, black iPhone. The iPhone 5 fit that bill perfectly if the price dropped. Now I either have to stumble across a ton of money for the 5S or be stuck with a plastic iPhone.

Apple takes good features of different phones that people don't buy. Packages it all together and delivers a complete experience. Now there is truly no reason to every by a Lumia.

iOS sorely needs a new keyboard. Does iOS 7 finally have haptic feedback or swype typing?

No it doesn't. Don't spread fud. It means apps that are compiled on the updated XCode work on both 64-bit and 32-bit. Current apps will still work but will only run at 32bit (not that you'd have any idea).

It's the same deal with OS X. There are still a ton of 32bit apps on your mac.

Are we getting dedicated VRAM now that's going to eat up the 32-bit address space? I mean it's cool but it's like AMD releasing Athlon 64 a decade ago.

The only thing that requires 64-bit from me right now is Star Citizen. This is a PHONE we're talking about.
