"Touch ID Highjack"
Good point, and probably part of the reason they made their own case.
There are a lot of cases that have the home button exposed. From the mechanical specs, it looks like a regular iPhone 5 case will take the 5S without any fitting issues. I know a few that ordered iPhone 5 cases specifically with a cover over the touch button to avoid using it on their soon to acquire iPhone 5S.
One of my security consultants came up with a very interesting scenario and coined it a "Touch ID Highjack." This is where you get a 5S with the fingerprint scan not active and unlocked via PIN or just swipe. Then use your fingerprint to claim access and the legit owner can't access their iPhone.
Yes, you could do the same thing with resetting the pin code but now the fingerprint enrollment makes highjacking an iPhone 5S a lot quicker. Have a case with the fingerprint scanner button covered, this intrusion option is compromised.

Man, I can't tell you how sick I am of seeing him doing product videos. The way he looks so unbearingly innocently into the camera always reminds of my brother's face when he tries to lie at me.
But luckily I am a free man and don't have to endure such things if I don't want to...
I really agree. The Apple corporate product launch videos have not change much in the last ten years. It has a formula of
1) White screen
2) Contemporary mood music somewhere between fusion jazz and contemporary
3) Close up cheat zooms of the product in abstract curves initially while scoping out showing the whole product as the tempo and base of the mood music increases. (FYI, this type of presentation was first choreographed by Pavlov himself.)
4) A fanfare reveal showing the whole product.
5) Detailed features highlighting the product
6) Transition to the "experts" talking about it in a casual, non-threatening, non-authoritative environment. They alternatively sit in view at Stage Right or Stage Left. The product and product demos are reserved for Stage Center.
7) Models using the product in a happy and playful manner representing their product demographics to a tee.
8) Show the product name
9) Fade to black
Something has to shake it up guys!
