If you're still using a 3G, and you just got an iPad last year...shouldn't you upgrade that dinosaur phone?

No, I mean I'm planning to buy my first iPad; I didn't get the last one. And aside from apps taking a second or two longer to launch (which is tolerable) and not being able to handle some of the newer, more graphically-intensive games (which the new iPad will be just dandy for), my 3G really isn't all that bad. It's jailbroken, so if I need to multitask a couple of apps, it'll let me without any fuss. All the extra perks the 3G lacks, like a front-facing camera, greater speed and RAM for games, etc. can be provided by the iPad, in addition to its own unique benefits (i.e. bigger screen).

It hasn't been 4.5 years first of all, it's been less than 4. June 2007-March 2011.

And with the amount of carriers holding Android phones plus the sheer amount of phones, is that really surprising. Apple started this entire market. There's no "Ouch" here.

Google doesn't sell Android phones, various phone manufacturers sell phones with Google's Android on it. None of said manufacturers are earning the porfits or selling the units Apple is.

Something to think on.
