Not really, that's standard for M.2 PCI-E based SSD's, which aren't that much more expensive than a traditional SSD.

So Air, Mac Mini, Mac Pro and Cinema Display are dead
256 GB SSD is good, but same 8 GB standard. That's getting to be a very small amount for a Pro laptop, especially one that can't be upgraded a few years from now.
There's even a 13" model w/o the Touch Bar for you non-impressed types.
