I'm a nurse and also do graphic art. A stylus is needed for these tasks. The current crop of work arounds companies have come up with suck. Also, you need pressure sensitivity with artwork at least along the lines of WACOM tablets.

I knew it. This is Apple's direct competitor to Microsoft's Surface Pro.

They must have spilt their coffee over at Redmond when Apple unveiled their keyboard

Apple had placed a Patent request in 2011 (and some similar earlier), so I think they may be covered.
