Wait, does this mean in the next MaxOS update, I CAN'T shop on my "early 2008" MBP anymore?

So streaming 4k is still much better than streaming 1080p. Blu-ray is getting it's 4k counterpart in early 2016 with Samsung announcing it's first player and Fox announcing several titles. The plus is those player will have the 4k apps that this won't have. 4k is the future and with the majority of 4k tv's becoming affordable. We are going to see a massive adoption rate and if you think they won't want to see 4K content streaming or otherwise, you would be mistaken.

I don't think so, because of compression. Most 4K tvs are abysmal in quality and can't even stream netflix 4K, not too mention the issue of data caps, latency, etc.

I can shop on my TV? Are they kidding? This is retarded. I don't understand why they are showing this crap.

I just want the apps so that I can finally play all the videos from iphoto on my apple tv. Someone will make an app for that. The rest is just weirdness. I have a PS3. Does the job.

Wow! I didn't know all the engineers working on the latest video codecs killed themselves and that all internet connections are limited to 1Mbps. Will it be in the news soon?
How many content providers use anything newer than H264? And how many of them stream at more than 10mbps or so? Doesn't matter what the latest tech allows for if the content providers and hardware doesn't. We'll eventually surpass blu-ray with streaming tech, but not yet.

Id have been more impressed with them showing someone checking in for a flight on a Delta Air Lines app....
