I couldn't imagine buying an iPad 2 for $400 when for $100 more you get:
Significantly better display with twice the screen resolution
A significantly better camera with big resolution jump (1MP -> 5MP)
1080p/30fps video recording
Faster processor
More RAM
Built in dictation
Dunno about that, depends on what they want... i don't use the my tablet camera at all... couldn't care less about video either...
iPad 2 is plenty fast as is... the "new iPad" only confirms an increase in GPU Power and that's only to support the Retina display, nothing about increasing CPU power much.
Dictation... yawn...
at least now this makes the iPad 2 Wifi price competitive at the $400 point with the ASUS Transformer 16GB...
So...
Transformer 16GB $400 vs iPad 2 WiFi 16GB
Transformer Prime 32GB $500 vs the new iPad 16GB
Transformer Prime 64GB $600 vs the new iPad 32GB
"Future June 2012"
Transformer Infinity 32GB $600 vs the new iPad 32GB
Transformer Infinity 64GB $700 vs the new iPad 64GB
With Apple winning the resolution game and winning the iOS Ecosytem game, I think ASUS will need to drop the price by $100 each for the Infinity competitive.
Samsung needs to get their ass in gear and get a tablet with this out.

32GB, and 64GB versions are needed with microSD support that way we can have 64GB microSDXC to bring a total 128GB of storage...
Otherwise Apple will continue to remain supreme in the spec game where it matters the most... the screen.
