Retina would need to be a 4K display for the 27".....we aren't there yet.

Imagine 4K, but I doubt that is going to happen anytime soon but we might get Retina for next iMac with the lack of 4K.

If they can keep up with internal upgrades AND make it thinner/more beautiful - why wouldn't they?

Some people like the thinner profile because they don't have a big space on a desk to put it....I have a limited amount of space on my desk at home and the iMac fits that space perfectly - this design would give me more flexibility. Not to mention it looks stunning.

Our iMac will last a while longer - but this one is making me drool.
