So next year's iPhone XS comes with underglass TouchID and FaceID for 1/(50,000x1,000,000) security..... 1 in 50 billion chance of spoofing!
 
am I alone if feeling completely un-impressed with the newest offerings. Sure the face recognition is cool but the 10 display is ugly with the black bar on top. and the cost makes it so...

I may get an 8 cause my 6 is done but then again I may just get an SE cause I love music and without an RCA jack...

I'll wait till I can pick one and play with it but will likely go with 64Gb X as I'm only using a pretty static 40Gb on my 128Gb 7+

They should've just presented the iPhone X and left out the other crap. Drop the iPhone 8 altogether because most will not pay the premium over the 7 or 6S when there's little gain. As for the iPhone X, it's the first iPhone since the 4S that I'd consider buying again but they need to add a software option to blacken the screen at the top to mask the ugly notch and lower the price because it's not worth more than the Galaxy Note 8.

I agree. The notch is pretty annoying. Software would be the perfect solutions. Maybe it will be implemented as a quiet option in settings. It would be perfect if it were.
 
Interesting.. Basically they haven't managed to keep a single product / feature secret. The only surprise for me is the design and lens area of ipX.. I thought the final product will look better. Maybe it it will look better in real..

not really feeling the X .. face id is meh .. going to be weird using apple pay in stores with it and that camera on the front ruins the look of the display

And Tim expects people to compare this event and the iPhone X with the one 10 years ago and the original iPhone ?

£1149 for decent storage options. 64GB isn't enough for me or most people who would go for a top end device like that. This will be my first year not buying the new iPhone on release. I love what we saw of the X minus FaceID which I'm very cynical of. But I can't justify the price. Doesn't help that I cracked my 7 Plus screen so it's re-sale value is rubbish. I think I'll just be investing in a new screen for my 7 Plus this year!
