I'm planning to pre-order for in-store pickup using the Apple Store App this year. Does anyone here know if you need a credit/debit card on your Apple ID for in-store pickups?

No need to get upset. You're entitled to your own opinion.

Not upset at all. I'm not sure how you can decipher the word upset over text on the Internet. I'm simply just stating your bises rationalization that you're posting thats more of a generalization when you speak for the entire audience. That's all. Enjoy the Keynote.

Apple's first-ever event at the Steve Jobs Theater begins at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time, where it is widely expected to unveil the iPhone X, a new Apple TV with 4K video, and Apple Watch Series 3 models with LTE connectivity.

We should also be hearing final details and the official release date for iOS 11, and likely macOS High Sierra, watchOS 4, and tvOS 11 as well. And, of course, there may be plenty of other announcements and surprises in the cards.

Apple is providing a live video stream on its website and via the Apple Events app on Apple TV. We've shared instructions on how to watch along with a list of when the keynote starts in time zones around the world.

In addition to Apple's video stream, we will be updating this article with live blog coverage--no need to refresh--and issuing Twitter updates through our @MacRumorsLive account as the keynote unfolds.

Highlights from the event and separate news stories regarding today's announcements will go out through our @MacRumors account.

Apple's online store is currently down in advance of the event. It should be accessible again shortly after the keynote.

I can't wait for Jony Ive's "Introducing the iPhone X" video. I will put it on replay , I like how passionate he is with his designs.

Oh? Do you know something no one else does, because so far there isn't a rumor of a single innovative feature on ANY of their products expected to be announced today.

Hopefully Apple realized how bad and overpriced Beats headphones are and is shutting them down.

I see we're getting started on the "Apple doesn't innovate anymore" stuff early today. I honestly wonder why some people even bother with this keynote stuff if they're so disillusioned with Apple.

One of the nice things about being in the UK is that the keynotes are at 6pm our time..!

No worries about missing/avoiding work.
At home, comfortable, with a glass of wine...

I won't be buying anything unveiled today, and we know what's going to be announced, and all the superlatives Tim et al will use..... but I am looking forward to this. Quite a significant milestone/keynote by all accounts.

Watch them make the phone available for pre-order immediately following the event. That would throw everyone for a loop, I need at least a day to decide on my configuration and absorb all the nuances of the different upgrades :),

Yeah, why bother watching or commenting if all you’re going to do is offer meaningless negativity. What purpose does it serve on a forum like this?

I don't see how anyone can be disappointed considering we practically already know every last detail about this phone. I've never seen so many leaks before a phone launch.

I think Apple intentionally posted some of the leaks this year. There were just way to many out there.
