My newest mac (early 2011 MBP) is coming up on 5 years old and I wouldn't trade it for anything Apple's made since the end of 2012. Not sure what Philly's point is about the older windows machines. If my macbook broke tomorrow I'd be looking for a good used 2012, and I've never bought a used computer before.

Lol, PC replacement my ass. My 5 year old macbook pro 2011 is working fine (except the GPU), it is way faster than the iPad Pro. That single task iPad sucks for real work.
