free update ? that's standard, why do they still say 'free' update ... as if they would ever charge for some..

because a lot of android devices still don't get reliable updates, requiring people to buy new devices sometimes if they want something as simple as a current os version. the fact that iOS and mac devices treat the OS as a feature of the device instead of a product paired with another product is still a huge selling point to new users.

The worst screen to size ratio on the market? Solid hardware? Really?

the only comparable phone is the sony z5 compact, which lacks carrier specific features in the USA, like wifi calling and volte. The usa version also has no fingerprint reader.

It's running the same chip as the iPhone 6s , so therefore I'm assuming is pushing 2 GB.

I sure hope so! A lot of people won't care about the difference before they buy it, but using an iPhone with 1gb of ram is so frustrating!
