Does every apple store participate in a midnight launch? or is it some and then the rest do it in the morning?

anyone notice that all stock apple apps are now in the app store?
iOS 10 has the ability to "remove" the stock apps (they really just get hidden, they're still in the base OS image - yes, taking an entire several megabytes out of your many gigabyte phone). The way you restore them if you've "deleted" them is to "download" them from the store - it's not tricking people so much as it's easier to explain to the masses, a consistent interface for adding and deleting apps.

Why I am not getting iPhone 7:
* Pant manufacturers have not upgraded their pocket designs to the 6 form factor so iPhone 6 destroyed all my pockets. Maybe SE2?
* I will wait for the 10th Anniversary iPhone OMG anyway.
* I am getting too old to get worked up about incremental updates.

Cool story.

Perhaps wait a couple of hours and then decide?

Ah the Apple September event. It feels a bit like New Years eve. Excitement and counting down and what not. Promising to quit drinking, smoking and stealing colleagues sandwiches from the fridge.

But tomorrow comes the hangover, followed by reality. Or in this case, your bank manager calling you to tell you it's the last time he'll allow going negative.

Or you could, you know, just go somewhere else. If you go to a biker bar, and find a bunch of bikers there, do you complain about people who like motorcycles?
i thought this site was about Apple in general, good and bad. I wasn't aware that expressing negative opinions was banned? Many exchanges here are informative and engaging. The mindless adoration of all things Apple isn't.

The bank manager call will come after the October event with Macs!

This is bordering boring with pretty much all the details of the iPhone 7 known already. I do appreciate the doubling down on Apple Watch 2, not nearly as detailed leaks.

Watching with interest to see if it's worth upgrading. It was going to be the first year I've waited more than 2 years to do an upgrade as to be honest still very happy with my iPhone 6+ and not sure there's going to be enough to entice me to upgrade.

But on Monday as if by some great Apple intervention I dropped my phone off my 7th floor balcony - the screen is unsurprisingly very smashed but the phone is still working so now debating whether to buy the new one or just get a screen replacement for my current one for £79 (or if they find major damage then a refurbished one from Apple for £250) to last me a year until next year when I think the more interesting upgrade looks like arriving.

A few of you promised you'd join me in the keynote drinking game. Post your bev of choice!

I'm on the black stuff. Here's to your health, Tim. Make it a good one!
